I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong here or not. I have logged on 20 to 40 minutes (due to work) After the event is supposed to appear for the day.
I am welcomed to no quest what so ever, Not even the previous day. I cant interact with Bobby or the Preservationist. However one day out of the blue day 2 item for The Thinking Cap appeared in my bag.
Is there something I’m missing, or is the game bugged out on my end?
unfortunately same. I dont know what I’m doing wrong. It was there for the hat and now nothing and we have like a week left :,(
There is no time limit, you can do it whenever including after the last secret is given.

After you got the hat, did you complete the follow up quest to find the arrows hidden around Valdrakken?
I never got a follow up quest, just the hat. the thinking cap toy hat.
Go back and talk to the goblin next to the barbershop with your hat on. You probably need to do this quest to continue. It was easy to miss.

I completed the ‘Shifting Sands’ achievement in the special event; and now ‘What’s in a Mold?’ didn’t show up at reset yesterday. I had removed my add ons; did the old ‘cache/interface/wtf’ reset. Restarted my computer; zone out of Valdrakken and back in; check on various alts; removed the old notes from my bag; and STILL no continuing quest. Of course Blizzard wants to send me to Wowhead which is a totally nighmare to try to sign up with; and they are NOT offering anything else to fix the issue. (and btw even used the 3 items - Hat/birdy/torch just to see if that would help.)
I have no idea what to do. I guess I wait to see if it shows up with the 3pm reset today…otherwise I guess some of use are just SOL because Blizzard does NOT want to handle the issue when we submit tickets. 
Im having the same issue. I completed the ceremonial spear part of the day 1 chain, received the achievement The Inquisitive, and no day 2 quest popped up. However i was given a Preservation Dispatch two which i cant even complete because i still need to do the part1 chain to get the torch. Any ideas?
