I completed the second questline where I needed to take the spear to northrend and place it near the stone idol. I received credit towards the achievement but I can’t pick up the item for the third questline from Bobby Carlisle.
Has anyone had these issues and if so how did you fix them?
I see people on WoWhead have had this issue but no way to solve it yet.
In some cases, people have picked up the quest on a different character and not really realizing that was the case, since it’s possibly to pick up that quest before you even pick up the day 1 clue quest. Check ALL of your characters you think you would have logged in with, and check their bags for an item called " Thinking Cap Notes ". If a character has it, then that’s the character you have to complete it on, since the item it gives you is a toy and account bound.

Once you use the toy and add it to your collecction, it can be used on any toon. So the storyline doesn’t have to be on that original character. Just move the thinking cap to your hotbar and use it on the toon you want the storyline done on.
I obtained the Tricked-out Thinking Cap from the current event going on with the anniversary achievement before even knowing about the Whodunnit Achievement. I already had the toy so it acknowledged completion of the quest but bugged out from there. I checked all my toons, able to access DF, for the Thinking Cap notes as previously mentioned by another post to no avail. I am unable to progress with this achievement because the quest from Fangli Hoot won’t show up when I equip the Thinking Cap, no matter how many times I try to reload or re-equip the toy or disable addons or anything else. I submitted a ticket to blizzard and they said they are aware of the issue for this but asked me to also submit something here regarding a bug to get devs on it as well. Anyone got any other advice or am I just lame duckin this?
