I bought the spear to Poa, then everything in my bags were gone. But, I separated my bags and everything reappeared EXCEPT the quest items (clues, spear…).

The quest items are still appearing as “invisible” in my bags after completing the secret.
I’m on my way to Poa right now, and the inventory of one entire bag is invisible. I happened to move something from that bag to the bag in which the chalice/spear and notes were. Receiving bag is fine. Bag from which I moved the item is not. Stuff still seems to be in there (shows up as a tooltip if I hove my cursor), but looks completely empty. Logging out and back in did not fix it.

Okay I see. The quest items are “still” in my bag, I can see the text when hovering over them but they appear as an empty slot, interesting…
All the items in my bags disappeared immediately after accepting the first quest in Valdrakken. All items are there, just invisible.
So if you check the other bug thread pertaining to this event, what’s happened is that the game has given you a magical invisible “?” item that is bugging out whatever bag it’s placed in, and making all your items invisible.
In order to fix this, find the “?” item by clicking on every blank inventory space until you get one that appears as a question mark icon when you pick it up, and put that item into an empty bank bag that you aren’t using. Then your items should reappear.
To see your bag items again, find the ? item (no mouse over… just drag empty bag spots until you find it) into a bank space.

quick fix. The bugged item was from the blue quest given by Bobby Carlisle in the Valdrakken Inn. If you convert your bags to separate bags (if you use combined bags), you can find the bag with the bugged item. You’ll have to individually click and drag each separate slot in that bag until you find a red “?” icon item. You can drag that red “?” icon to a bank bag to fix your inventory issues.
It’s not ideal, but it’s a quick fix until they can figure this bug out.

…also I can’t seem to post from anything but my Classic characters either. That’s interesting…
Edit: To make matters worse, I think the bugged item is in one of the “locked” slots…and I don’t know why they’re locked. I have an authenticator too, and even if I didn’t…wrong bag? hah
Edit 2: I managed to empty the ‘invisible’ slots out into the bank so I saved those items. I then went out to Northrend, and now I notice my bag is back, but empty except for one item, Bobby Carlisle’s Thinking Cap Notes. I noticed when I accepted his quest, it just marked it as completed in my chat and nothing else happened, and I didn’t see the notes in my bag. They seem to be there now, though…
…maybe the REAL mystery is…how to fix your bags?
Edit 3: After reading through the other post Here, it seems that it was something to do with Bobby Carlisle. Apparently his quest isn’t supposed to be for today, and having the item made the game unhappy? Not sure…but I’ve since deleted the item, completed the mystery for today, deleted all remaining items, and my bags are back to normal.
Edit 4: It seems maaaaybe Bobby is no longer giving the quest, since a friend of mine just looked and he didn’t have one, so, maybe the caught it and stopped it. Hopefully it won’t bug anyone else’s bags now!
