Secret fish goggles

I just found out about this quest today, did part one, then started part 2. I had to log out for a few hours, and when I came back, the goggles were no longer in my inventory. Danielle won’t give me another pair, nor does she have them for sale.

How do I get them back?

Replacement goggles being for sale should be linked to completion of the achievement for catching all the rare fish of mechagon - see if you character has credit for this achievement?

(Also, double check bags/bank that it’s not still there just somewhere unexpected?)

I’ve been working on part 2 while using the goggles. They were in my bag when I logged out. They are not now.

When you go back to the fisherman to look for a replacement, what dialogue options does she offer you?

I never tried to get these, because

  1. I’m lazy
  2. I have better things to do
  3. It isn’t worth it just for the appearance

The toy from the end of the Achievements is kind of cool though. It also only takes a few hours to do.

The goggles part is pretty easy - and the rare fish on Mechagon are also a daily turn in for rep.

You may have been slightly luckier than I was. (But on the plus side, I finally killed that blue drake that shares a timer with the Time-Lost protodrake while waiting for fish to spawn)

I looked up a guide and set aside some time to just get them all. I kind of like farming stuff like that though. Which reminds me, there are still some pets I don’t have that I need to farm. The darned Hyacinth Macaw and the Black Tabby cat!

I have captured 10 of the 30 listed.

Are you really really sure they are not in your bags or bank somewhere? More than once I have lost stuff in my own bags.

There should have been another option for “I lost my Secret Fish Googles” (that then tells you she has them for sale).

Just double-checked and the “I lost” option does not appear if you have goggles in your inventory, which is why I’m still deeply suspicious that you still have them hiding somewhere in your bags or bank (or at least the game thinks you do)

I was about to type that I’m positive I don’t have them since I used the search feature, when I decided I should check my bank first. Although I don’t remember putting them in the bank, they actually are there.

I did this long quest a few weeks go. I will say that the 2nd part was long (for me). I could NOT get 1 fish…ended up taking 5-6 hours plus for that one fish. The floating islands in Nagrand ended up being the best spot for me.

When people says “not worth it” I’m camping everyday freza for the vinyl with 0.2% chance…

congrats OP I might do that grind at some point, not right now tho I kinda have my hands full with other stuff in game…
