Despite the update blizzard made to black lotus, creating an extra 10-15 spawns in each zone and reducing the window to about 15 minutes (on different timers in different areas within a zone) the black lotuses have been spawning at an abnormally slow rate compared to the first day of the fix. My guild and i had teams running around BS trying to map out new spawns and timers and we ended up having a time where we picked 6 lotuses in 30 minutes. each in different sections of the map. Now its been harder to find and pick these lotuses due to a possible hidden nerf to the respawn window being increased. Can blizzard add any confirmation to this? Was the first day of the lotus change full of bugs like the first day of green dragons? Anyone else have any input?
They probably cant decide whether to make black lotus all over the place or very rare still.
they are still worth alot on my server, which is weird. the spawn must be busted again
its just so weird now that theyve been spawning less but in a lot more locations wouldnt ya think that would increase the price because theyre harder to find?
No. I guess it kind of depends on server pop, but any medium to high pop server is still going to have people finding far more overall lotus than in the once per hour model. With the change it’s harder to be in the correct spot when they spawn, but they’re not necessarily harder to find. They’re still just herb nodes on the map. I know people who claimed to have built a near complete spawn map days after the change was made.
Is there anything wrong with crashing the black lotus market? That’s what Blizzard is trying to avoid. But would it be so bad?
It’s probably the same.
The issue seems to be that these new locations are also static so you have bots camping them now as well.
Spawn is busted.
They got down to 90g and now are going for 170g+ now.
Either they messed up the new spawns or bothers found a way to bot. I’m thinking lotus was messed with.
I would take first day with a grain of salt just because of the nature of putting in a hotfix and having crowds of people farm zones. I’ve actually found more black lotus this most recent week. There is a lot of demand for black lotus and I saw a lot of guilds trying to buy 500-1000 black lotus. Even with 15min spawn timers that is a lot of lotus and probably a lot of lotus that people don’t have to sell unless they botted/got lucky in phase 2 when they were selling for <100g
I have not found one since the changes at all.
I thought it was just me! Last week I farmed Silithus very successfully for Lotus. But for the past few days I’ve done dozens of laps around Silithus and maybe found 1 or 2. I even /who’d Silithus and there were only 2 others in the zone with me, and 1 of them was farming CC rep, so it wasn’t bots. The spawn rate does seem dramatically lower from last week. I’m glad you made this post because I thought it was just me.
It’s unfortunate this is even possible.
Same - I got a couple on the first day and now have gotten nothing the last few.
On DD they’re down to about 75-100g depending on the day - on my other server? 190+
If your server have layering, then the prices will be divided.
The spawnrate is still 15min but there are way more players actively looking for Black lotus than before the hotfix. Thats why they are harder to find.
Don’t expect the price to be the same as Vanilla while the playerbase is like 5x richer than before
Can’t help but laugh at all those who thought the BL hotfix was going to “solve” the price issue. Ignorance of economics, ignorance of how people were farming BL, and no ability to extrapolate the likely effects of the hotfix.
