Second Wind

Do all dots count towards the 5 second start up timer? As in you leap behind a pillar but are still getting ticks without any direct damage. Just want to clarify as it’s pretty much buttcheeks if so.

It breaks on any damage that isn’t falling damage.

Quaking damage also doesn’t stop the healing

Scars of Fraternal Strife doesn’t break it either for that’s worth.

lava damage doesnt stop it either

Second Wind is one of the weirdest working abilities in the game ever. Despite saying that it stops working as soon as you take damage, it doesn’t all the time. Several environmental effects don’t stop it, neither does quaking or bursting. I remember as far back as Legion, it would stay active through Dragons of Nightmare raid damage so I’d be full HP all the time while everyone else struggled.

Who knows what it’ll work on in DF but this talent has always been and still will be a raid and dungeon pick for me.

And thankfully with talent templates people can quickly swap it (except in M+ and combat). Though for me I usually just swap it for leeching strikes.
