I never quite understand the boss, does the beam the boss gets make them more powerful or does it do nothing?
I just tank the boss with the beam on and I am wondering, am I doing it wrong?

He does a spinny beam just like Mordretha from Theater of Pain. As to answer the question; no clue. I just don’t get hit by it

No, that’s just a RP aspect over an actual mechanic, the only thing he does that buffs his dmg is each consecutive add explosion that buffs the AoE he does.
