Seasons makes wow worst

Imo, seasons really kill the game.

Seasons make you feel like you have to play to do all the season objectives in the time frame of the season or you miss out on things.

There no more casual play these days. It was better when wow updated and gave new content without seasons and you could still go back and collect stuff.

That’s how all games have become though. Just season based games and keep you stuck on one game and you can’t play other because if you do you miss out on that skin/mount etc.

it’s called live service and that’s how the business model works . you can make it as casual as you wish , just skip the fomo

For me I just hate how the previous season will just become obsolete. The gear becomes nearly worthless because the next seasons gear has like double the stats for some reason.

And it’s all re-hashed bs anyways. Boring world quests. Annoying dialogue. Bleh.

I need the 10th recolor of this Arathi leveling set that I’ll never use because everyone’s wearing it.

I need it bigly

I do like how s1 gear has grey text “The War Within s1” right there on the mouse over. Why not just add some stink lines and a fart sound effect, too.

Do you only have 20 minutes to play every week between your 8 jobs and 20 children or something. The seasons take months, you will be progressing them without even trying by literally just playing the game.

I just don’t see this as a problem. It only impacts collectors and even that is temporary since they often recycle things putting them in the store or trading post at a later date.

The rest of us can do old content any time we want to do it. In fact that’s how I level alts in Chromie Time.

It’s all thanks to mythic plus

Seasons have always been in wow. They were called raid tiers before they were called seasons. Same thing.

Pick what you want to get out of it and go for that if it’s realistic for you personally.

I’m super duper casual in wow today.

You can still go back and collect stuff from past expansions. When DF gets fully soloable and legacy loot I’ll farm many…MANY sets from that expansion.

Not even remotely true.

Stop playing garbage tier live service games and play actual quality games. Problem solved.

This isn’t new though, just because they didn’t call them seasons in TBC doesn’t mean they weren’t very similar.

New raids released, vendors got upgraded gear that you could buy with badges from heroic 5 mans. New crafting patterns dropped.

People used to complain then too, arghh trial of champions gear makes prior dungeons useless. Or why even play now I can come back in three months and used badges to get better gear.

No more casual play???

Ummm I’m as casual as any can get and I’m still getting tons done via solo play so not sure what you’re on with about that.

Since Legion, WoW has continuously focused on “casual play”.

Seasons are just a renamed version of raid tiers because raid tiers now involve end game pillars that…well. are more casual.

Removing seasons to go back to what we had before means removing delves, and removing m+.

We could go back to calling them tiers but the gear is patch temporary thing has been going since at least cata. Buying previous tier with valor, having the end time dungeons catch you up, raidfinder for full current tier.

Maybe even wrath with its badge gear, acheivs that had a maximum ilvl so you pretty much had to get them current starting thr fomo trend, and the soul forge dungeon set as catchup.
