Soooo tired of running the same ones every day. I understand why seasons are as long as they are, it gives us the opportunity to level many alts, and to take our time climbing to higher keys. But there is a weakness in the chain, and it’s the boredom of running the same dungeons for months and months.
They extended the season duration, increased the amount of time it would take for you to upgrade your gears.
They’re burning the player base for absolutely no reason.
You know… it wasn’t that long ago when we had the same dungeons for the entire expansion, and they were just the dungeons that were included with that expansion. The dungeon rotation actually changing each season, and bringing in some older dungeons each season to mix things up, are all relatively new developments.
It’s a good thing that seasons are “long”, as it allows players time to regain their sanity and catch up on other things before going all-in on a new season. Packing seasons closer together would just result in burn-out.
How am I supposed to breathe and regain sanity when literally nothing changes?
I think it’s the opposite, people are refreshed by new content.
A lot of people actually take a break at the end of each season, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. People can enjoy what they accomplished that season, they can focus on other aspects of the game, or they can fully stop playing for a short time. Then enthusiasm builds for a new season and it starts all over.
Keep in mind that M+, Raid, and PvP all share seasons, so you can’t just make one shorter without affecting the others.
I understand the idea, but the rest of the content is for people who are new to the expansion. Nothing really gives gear or crests. M+ is the end game content here, not pet battles or awakening the machine or globs of wax. And I don’t think it’s a good business praqctice to tell your customers to stop using their product. They need to adapt to us, not the other way around.
“And I don’t think it’s a good business praqctice to tell your customers to stop using their product. They need to adapt to us, not the other way around.”
This has been the problem with Blizzard for the past 20 years
We need more dungeons because seasons are too long, and if you think it’s bad now, it was worse before when we had the same 8 dungeons in all FOUR seasons.
If they shortened the seasons and made the rotation faster, I think the lack of dungeons issue would no longer be an issue.
On the flip side, they make the product, we choose whether to engage in it or not, and if they keep making the same crap it’s because we keep playing.
The only time they will ever change, as it has been noted historically, is if we stop playing.
I just wish the dungeons were at least fun or interesting to me. I don’t think there’s one in this season that I actually liked outside of maybe Dawn. That’s only because there’s breaks of flying to break up the trash pulls and boss fights.
Sadly next seasons dungeons don’t really look fun either. Not with the changes that have been made over the years to their design philosophy, changes to stops, the shear amount of crap that needs interrupted now… bleh. Having a few must interrupt abilities was always ok. Then there were abilities that if you let them slip it wasn’t a big deal. You could toss an interrupt on an ability just to help your healer or tank in between the interrupt or die mechanics. Now it just seems they want every dang trash ability to do group damage, or it’s tank buster after tank buster. Just kind of boring after a while.
I want my mass pulls and mass cc interrupts back. M+ was way more fun to me back then. Fun is subjective, but this season just isn’t to me. We’ll see how much they’re “listening to feedback” for season 2 I guess. Maybe something will change for the better.
Don’t worry, next season you get to run to +12 for KSL. You won’t even notice they’re the same ones for another 10 ilvls!
It’ll be great.
