Seasonal resets

I have a dilemma. what blizzard/activison have been doing is to reset all the valorstones and crests each eason which suppose to last 12 weeks.which is really not enought time to get to where you want to be and by the time you do get there if you get there it’s so all for nothing because they wipe it all out for you to begin all over again next season. its actually quite frustating…I wondering if I should just not play the patches since they really have nothing to offer and wait until the whold expansion is preactically done and then jump in…this is suppose to be a saga so why wipe all the currency… just keep it going…

suggestion rename of the currecy and keep everything in in place stop make the prev season completely useless.

ex: this is like I get hired for a job but every year I need to reinterview for the same job but my previous achievment are wiped out and dont mean anything… I got to start form the bottom again and again and again can you image you work for a company for 10 years and every year you need to requalify for the same postion you already have that is what this feels like now.

this is for pvp balancing a good example would be me a glad and keep all the upgrade materials and get gear and upgrade to max while you start at the bottoms get stomped and leave pvp forever. making post about how pvp is not balanced and fun threads

Seasons typically last 20-25 weeks.

Huh? I JUST hit 80 last week on a new paladin and I’m already 664 item level with all my tier set at heroic or mythic and my BiS heroic track trinkets. That’s good enough item level to parse 99s in heroic raids and easily clear +12 and higher dungeons.

The only thing I think is dumb are the weekly caps on crests, because that’s timegated progression rather than natural progression via playing the game.

Edit: Technically since it’s Sunday, it was 2 weeks ago I hit 80 on the fresh pally…

This notion of season’s disincentives me to play. I hate how they nuke currency and make everything not upgradable. It takes any partial progression / time you invested and makes it go away.

They turn the new seasons vetren track gear into the same as mythic track gear from the season prior… If you did a partial progression in the previous season, it’s MUCH easier to just snag vet gear in the new season than spending currency to upgrade whatever partial gear you currently had…

It’s for simplicity’s sake. So you don’t end up with bloated currencies.
Cleaner UI caters to more than people who thrive in legacy content.

Being able to pre-grind currency for the next tier is just a terrible idea, they have to reset.

Valorstones would be fine if the cap was removed and the taxed transfer remained permanently enabled. Oh, and remove renown rewards for past patches, 'cause right now the correct way to farm valorstones is to have a new alt fly around collecting the 1000 or so free ones.

I think maybe if you did literally any content in the game that rewarded higher ilvl gear you would be able to hit your goals

Nothing you say in that post is true.

This could be solved with a tier system. Everyone enters at Tier 1. Whey some formula based on win/loss, gear level, etc is reached, you enter Tier 2. Then Tier 3, Tier 4, etc. It would basically be PVP+. If you start losing, you get dropped down.

It’s sort of like the European soccer leagues. Between seasons, a bottom level team in their major league could be dropped down and the top team in their highest minor league team could be moved up to the majors.

Yeah I know, they don’t call them “major” and “minor” league, but you get the idea.

Seasons typically last twice that long.
