I love the forum narrative that no one who isn’t swiping has the kind of gold to run gdkps so clearly they only exist as a front for RMT
Except now it’s super easy to make gold and everyone should have hundreds this phase for mount and epic crafts because why wouldn’t you just have tons of gold laying around lmao git gud
The fact of the matter is GDKP was banned because the deluge of fallicious reports in phase 1 was costing Blizz money in the form of Customer Service time and energy for overturning automated bans from the mass reports and it’s just more cost efficient to ban gdkp than deal with it.
Lesson learned: Weaponize the report system until policy changes to your vision of the game.

Ive made around 50 gold so far just dungeon grinding from 28-37.
Saving all my quests for 40.

Boy youre in for a world of hurt mr paladin when you go to make your lion heart helm and realize you need alchemists to make your arcanite bars.
you mined the thorium, you mined the diamond, but you rely on another profession to meld them together for you.
Get. Over. It.
Alchemy is a useless profession without transmutes, the special item is garbage and the $$ you make from crafting pots is pennies over the cost on the AH.
This is literally ALL THEY HAVE this phase.

Yeah except Alchemy doesn’t even have this. I don’t care that Alchemy can make Truesilver Bars every 2 days. NOBODY IS WAITING FOR ALCHEMISTS TO MAKE THEM TRUESILVER BARS!
If Alchemy was the only way to make Truesilver Bars, they would cost 100g each right now because its a FORTY-EIGHT HOUR COOLDOWN.
The reason Truesilver Bars don’t cost 100g each right now is because you can get them from chests out in the world.
My complaint is that BS/Engineers have to go to high level zones and open Solid Chests for Truesilver Bars instead of Miners just being able to make them while LW and Tailoring just gets to craft their materials.
No one cares about Alchemy’s transmute, not even Blizzard. If they did care about the transmute, they would have removed Truesilver Bars from Solid Chest’s loot tables, lol.
Hardly a reliable source of farm for these bars. but if it is to you, sounds super easy like you have a great way to get this done.
All i know is a mithril bar is is 20 silver and Truesilver bar is 3.5 gold. Alchemists have a surefire way to make 8g+ a week doing something “they dont even have”
Lmao, if you think Alchemists getting to make 8g a week is a good enough reason for a fundamental part of SoD’s professions in Phase 2 remaining broken, then sure alright. We’ll have to agree to disagree.

idk what one has to do with the other, but you don’t need to exchange Void Pearl. I remember a guy who would swap out Blacksmithing for 1handers during raid days, and 2hander on other days of the week during TBC.
You don’t have to do this type of thing, and if you are literally buying gold to do it, that’s on you.
The problem is that even if blizzard mailed you 50g per day, herbs would just go from 20s to 1g30s
It’s a cercle that will never ends. The only way to personally feels comfortable with the current economy is to find ways to just have more gold so start farming, sell summons or portal , professions services, spam dungeon until 40 then quest at max exp and etc.
People are getting banned for 2 weeks for buying gold. Had someone in my guild get banned recently.
So you lied then. You claimed above that you NEED another profession to make your item, but now suddenly that profession is worthless because you don’t even need it to get said item.
People like to argue that the new gold sinks cause just as much RMT as GDKPs which just isn’t true. And not to say it doesn’t mean some people aren’t using RMT to fund them.
When the new gold sinks start costing hundreds of thousands of gold or even gold cap like people were spending in GDKPs in Classic, then we can talk.

I mean we can speculate on whatever we’d like (some speculations seem far more reasonable than others, sure), but we don’t know what is true, because we don’t have access to any data.
People who buy gold ain’t doin this stuff.
They have weighed the time vs. cost and decided its not worth doing every quests or grinding mineral nodes for hours. I think Blizzard added way too much stuff (Expensive runes, crafts, trinket re roll, etc.) for casual players with a wallet.
Gold buying will continue and inflation will rise only hurting legit players.

No, I claimed that it was stupid that BS and Engineering where hung out to dry while LW, Tailoring, and Alchemy are all fine.
And I claimed that it was stupid that BS and Engineers have to go out into the world to farm chests of all things for their crafting materials when none of the other professions have to do so.
