Blizzard has taken classic era off off life support and are letting it starve/suffocate. Terrible way to go. Our cluster has thousands of players daily, hate to see it all get shutdown cause blizzard wont let new players in.

Why would Blizzard do this?
Better yet, why in the hell would they keep customers in the dark with radio silence about decisions like this??
You guys feel like they are going to abandon Classic Era altogether?
Many people in my guild are looking at private servers because of this. My friends are afraid classic is being killed on purpose and that we will no longer get to enjoy the game as blizzard chokes it to death. The complete radio silence has people even more up in arms. I want to believe blizzard has some misguided but overall positive reason for doing this. Or maybe its a mistake. But the longer it goes without hearing from blizzard the more we fear it may be the end. Classic only has a few thousand people that play it anymore anyway, an attack like this would surely finish it off.

We should all log into Retail and do a protest or something…… 
I think they let Classic Era stand for this long as a Monument to “You think you do, but you don’t” and now it is starting to backfire on them as a larger group of people are now giving it another chance considering how everything else is running.

Do you remember “The Million Gnome March”, where to protest warrior nerfs, people rolled Gnome warriors on the Gnomergan server until it crashed?

This is pretty poor form to lock a server during era’s biggest surge in years. If this was another “mistake”, then blizzard seriously need to get better infrastructure and/or employees. If it wasn’t it is a scummy move on blizz behalf.

They seem to perform a hell of a lot of “unintended”, things lately, like when they put joyous journeys into the wrong version of the game. Maybe they only have 1 intern left running the entirety of classic wow. RIP intern #2, you will be greatly missed.
