Just remove everything unique to classic please! 40 man molten core seemed really scary! I hate having to form large groups in a MMO
I actually agree with this unironically.
oh no my 40 man only requires a small 20 people I can’t play this game now there are less people standing by me
Rabble rabble rabble! They are changing them things! Rabble rabble rabble!
Blizz could probably just leave MC as a 40 player raid and let us choose our own raid size considering we are strong enough to clear with current gear.
Go play wrath or retail if 40 people is too many for you
Era servers are right there for you .
SOD is not classic wow.
For real, very few things that are Classic don’t really apply to SoD.
Some features that are “Classic”
- Slow leveling
- Class Uniqueness
- Limited class toolkits
- Limited Gearing Options
- Ambiguous Play
- 40 Man Raids
- Attunements
- War Effort
- Class Quest/Rewards
The list goes on.
Any other version of the game is right there for you if you don’t like 40 mans
I have ZERO clue how I will form a 40 man, this is so daunting and scary, i can only find 10 people and all the guilds have 10 mans that will have no clue how to adapt, merge, pug or die to needing more numbers. Please blizzard save me from this terrifying future state where I might have to put in effort to achieve a larger feat, where i’d much rather invite a few randoms that don’t speak and be in and out of the raids within 30minutes. /s
If I understood the intent of the blue post, it’s not to remove everything unique to classic. It’s an attempt to bridge a gap of a bunch of small guilds trying to jump from 10 to 40 man content. Let’s not kid ourselves into thinking people actually thought MC is difficult. The logistics of getting 40 people into MC after forming guilds that ran 10-man content is another story. Besides, they didn’t say they were removing all 40 man content. I believe 20-man MC is just a step to try and build a bridge over that gap since it was the easiest to reconstruct.
It is honestly super easy getting a 40 man raid together since the content is so easy you can literally bring anyone you want. Smaller raid sizes encourages acting more sweaty since individual performance is more impactful. I really hope you’re right and it’s just MC as a bridge because 40 man raiding was such a great experience.
You joke, but some of what you say is true. It’s a tough spot for guild leaders who got used to running 10 mans to suddenly need 40 people at the same time. I’m not so jaded to believe that so many people are “terrified” or incapable of it, but it can be daunting as people tend to leave when there’s not organization. At least with this planned change to MC, it will give guilds a chance to build up to the later end-game 40 man content. I think this is a good change.
