Season of Mastery S2?

I believe so, if som2 is to draw people in, it might be a model for what is needed to draw people from wrath classic era to tbc era if we get a tbc era in 2years. But while harder raid modes are good for some I believe that they are not good for all especially in mc when after you get all the ubrs and 5man dungeon gear, the only way to get the gear needed is from pvp, which is what happened.

I would guess given how blizzard try to fix how people take a path of least resistance in gaming systems to give fast gear but in a painful not fun to play way no one likes; that pvp farming gear will be reformed with some changes about: pvp rank decay, pvp rank points increased, or generally adding old av to the games in general.

I would guess they would release the pvp purples once bwl has been out for a bit, while at the same time having a hard and normal raid difficulty so people have a chance at 2 raids per lockout to make up for the lack of content early phases.

I’d love to play as well. I really hope they just discard the increase to raid health/damage, go back to normal Vanilla with one big change: DUAL SPEC. For the love of god this is the easiest thing to implement and would have the BIGGEST upside. Please just make dual spec and it would breathe A LOT of life back into vanilla.

you mean the leak wasn’t real? :frowning:

Did you forget p2 in classic? P2 never forget

I loved p2, but I didn’t play on a megaserver so my experience may differ.

Really good memories of roaming the world by myself or with a friend or two and getting into brawls. It’s the only reason I would remember enemy faction players and the storylines that built up between players

I didn’t play on a mega server either but I was alliance on a 60:40 horde server and we got camped insanely hard everywhere.

fr? I was also alliance on a horde 60-40 realm and I thought it was fine?
What realm did you play on

Part of the reason the world Zerg was so insane is because all the peasants were just doing what all the streamers were doing. People who never even past rank 5 were just zerging in an inefficient death ball cause that’s what all the cool kids were doing.

There also wasn’t much else to do because blizzard releases phases which is way different than patch by patch like for ex a pserver

Luckily all the streamers will be on wrath/cata

I can understand it being released too early for those fully into TBC, however for some that missed the first classic and didn’t want to do TBC just yet, it was good timing I thought and I really enjoyed the community on my pve server and guild. Sadly it seemed to crash after the 2nd phase or w/e it was past MC/Ony. I had to deal with IRL issues at the time so don’t know all the reasons but I remember checking in late spring/early summer and barely any ppl on the pve server, even after it was combined with the other pve server. Hoping it’ll be good timing for the next season, I still want to experience the rest of the classic raids! I enjoyed the summoning stones feature btw.

Small indie company

least they can RUN a wow sever kinda sad when private severs ran but 2 people run better than blizzard oh and BAN BOTS not just pretend they aren’t there.

I would love vanilla and it to reset every year or two.

Oh no. Better not play the server then. I’d hate to go to jail for life for playing a pserver

Or worse… the firing squad

some of us do not wish to aid and abet criminals

Okay. Then play what is available to you.

Be happy with it

By what metric? Season of Mastery was HIGHLY successful. Massive numbers of people played. Unofficially, it had more active daily log-ins than Shadowlands did at the time it was released. For about 4-6 weeks, Season of Mastery was BANGING. I’m sure the next season will also be huge for a month or so. If what you’re mad about is that the rush only lasts a little while, I’d suggest you re-familiarize yourself with the concept of seasonal releases. It’s meant to be played that way - it’s in the name. You come, you poke around for a bit, maybe hit 60, maybe kill Ragnaros, and then quit. Come back the next season. That’s how WoW is approached these days. That’s how people have played Wrath, that’s how people will play DF, too. No one plays WoW year-round anymore. It’s a seasonal game.

no but see, at one point lots of people quit (just like they did during original classic) and therefore SoM was bad
