Season of Discovery Class Tuning Incoming - February 20

Heals don’t need buffs. Damage needs across the board reduction or health poola need across the board increases. Also people need to not expect raid gear to be the best pvp gear unless you want to be made of glass.

  1. they can still slow you from range
  2. most melee hunters I’ve seen use the melee rune but still spec BM, meaning their pet has a 3 second stun.
  3. they can still run up to you on a mount
  4. they can still trap you
  5. they can still use their 40% move speed buff
  6. half the classes are melee and have no choice?
  7. sure a good kite class won’t be killed by their melee, but they will probably still be killed by the pet or ranged hits, both of which are still silly strong in p2.

99th is only padding for heals. 99th for dps is a level where each player is playing their class to it’s full potential.

80-95 is lazy players who don’t put effort into learning their rotation and cd usage for each fight. They basically know the basics and have some gear.

Zoom out and get some situational awareness or Charley will make you pay.

Wrong. Very wrong lol top 20% of players are lazy? That’s like saying 6’ isn’t tall.

I think your schooling has failed you, or you’re not at that point yet.

enjoy your nerfs, time to figure out your next fotm

I play trap launcher, because it’s actually superior.

Something tells me the level 60 classic hunter didn’t choose to play a hunter in SOD because he somehow knew it was gonna be strong in phase 2 of the game

Yes, they are lazy if they have 80% dps logs.
That’s the worst comparison I’ve ever heard. Comparing someones genetics they can’t change to spending a few hours learning your class and boss fights…

Nice touch, a personal attack to show how much credibility you lack.

It’s not a personal attack, you clearly don’t understand percentiles and what they mean.

|Percentile|Male Height|Female Height|
|1%|5’1.54"|4’8.85"|
|10%|5’5.2"|5’0.04"|
|25%|5’7.01"|5’1.65"|
|50%|5’9.17"|5’3.58"|
|75%|5’11.02"|5’5.63"|
|90%|6’0.64"|5’6.97"|
|99%|6’3.57"|5’9.72"|

Also aptitude is directly related to genetics as well as other factors.

Saying 80% is “lazy” is just dumb. From my experience with parsing in classic all the way through naxx is the difference between 80 and 95 is usually the other players that happen to be in your raid and RNG. Someone who only raids in a full sweat guild is going to parse higher than someone with equal skill and gear who raids with non sweats

stop crying for nerfs.

You don’t understand what I’m saying. I’m simply saying players in the 99% are all playing their class to it’s full potential, therefore it’s a good group to base buffs and nerfs from. When you base it off of lower % groups, more of your data is going to be based on people who don’t know how to play the class properly.

Again, using something like height that cannot be changed is the dumbest comparison you can do to something that can be changed like going from bad parses to good parses with practice.

You can only improve as far as your aptitude allows. I agree you shouldn’t base tuning off average but you also shouldnt base it off anything above the top 5% of players in a team based game.

From classic all through wrath, parsing was like this. 80% - 89% was , you had no gear, on an alt or you didn’t know your rotation but you weren’t afk.

90%- 94% was, your rotation was decent but not optimized when it came to decision making like when to move, how movement changes your rotation and cd usage, ect.

95% - 98% was easy in an average guild if you put effort in to learn how to keep high uptime during movement and keep 100% uptime during cds.

99% was, your rotation and cd usage is perfect and everyone else is parsing 85%+. You have optimized your rotation for different mechanics of specific boss fights and your cd usage is on point and adjusted to the kill speed of your raid.

I would agree, overall 95% + would be good, but 99% guarantees all players are pushing their class to the max. When I was playing rogue in BC/Wrath, I could parse 95% while still making mistakes. Timing cds poorly, making greedy decisions on combo points and getting punished for it in a dps loss.

Maybe that’s how it was in Bc/wrath but that’s not how it was in classic at all. Lazy players were grey and green. Average players or players lacking gear were blue. Purple players were generally good but didn’t have bis or weren’t in guilds that required everyone to have optimized classes, full consumes and WBs, so boss fights took longer. Anything above that were skilled, prepared and geared players

Exactly who buffs and nerfs should be based off of.

Wait, what? Void Plague BUFFED? Lol
