Honestly still feels like a slap to the face. Grind tailoring to 150, spend 12g on blue spidersilk boots, do the raid and spend another 5g to upgrade to epic. Then blizz hotfixes the world buff to make the boots worse than a blue that drops in the raid… like come on

I just think at minimum you have 5 chances at losing the buff. I’ve done all kinds of tough content in different games and agree most of classic stuff is pretty straightforward.

That being said, not every player plays on the same level and unfortunately random whacky stuff is known to happen in classic era.

They print them off and put em in a scrapbook. One day they’ll bring em out at Thanksgiving and babble about how they used to be top 1% mage on Magmadar. And their grandchildren will unenthusiastically say “Yes grandpa, we know.”

Yeah and also how next rank frost bolt is lvl 26… so it wont be viable at all they shouldve made it so its same rank as fireball its a rank less and significantly less damage and made it useless for lvl 25

Can we also get pet stats to update dynamically? Currently, we need to put on Aspect of the Lion, all consumables, and get all our external buffs (motw, etc) before summoning our pet so the pet snapshots with our stats. Maybe this is classic-esque but it’s kinda annoying.

Regardless of the tailoring level required, it doesnt feel good for blizzard to retroactively screw over people that invested time and gold into their character.

Lmao, yeah this. Casters are terrible so lets give them a buff (that doesnt even fix the main issue, mana) that if they lose they might as well just be replaced.

• Hunter pet attack values have been updated to better scale with Hunter attack power.
• Developers’ notes: Pets that cast spells such as scorpid poison or Lightning Breath were scaling too well and pets using physical abilities were scaling too little. We’ve now normalized the amount of attack power gained, to scale with the focus cost of individual pet abilities. This means that abilities with a higher focus cost, that are cast less often, will receive more benefit from attack power per attack than abilities with a lower focus cost that can generally be used more often. Overall this should level out the damage and reduce situations where some abilities were scaling too much or too little with hunter attack power.
• Scorpid poison now distributes the additional damage it gains from attack power evenly over each stack of Scorpid Poison on the target.
• Developers’ notes: Previously, Scorpid poison received most of its benefit from the Hunter’s attack power in the very first stack. Now the additional damage gained from the controlling hunter will not be gained until the full 5 stacks of poison are on the target. This increases the ramp time a bit and makes it less immediately deadly in PvP.
• Pets now receive a smaller portion of a hunter’s armor and stamina.
• Developers’ notes: Hunter pets were gaining far too much durability from hunter stats, to the point where some pets could get more than double the health and armor of a well-geared level 25 player. We still want dedicated hunters to have the ability to tank certain dungeon and raid encounters, but pets shouldn’t be so effective that they become the objectively correct choice.

Do you guys even play the game? For real like at all? Hunters do not scale at all with higher content. You just killed them completely. We’ve got classes that scale very well topping the damage meters (warrior / rogue) at 25, which will only get better and you guys are nerfing the class which doesn’t even get a 60 raid spot.

• Aspect of the Lion has been redesigned and will now function as an Aura.
• Developers’ notes: This means that it is possible to have Aspect of the Lion up in addition to another aspect, such as Aspect of the Hawk. As an offset to the lower amount of damage that some hunter pets will deal, and to make talents such as Improved Aspect of the Hawk more attractive to Hunters using Aspect of the Lion, we’re shifting Aspect of the Lion into an aura rather than an aspect. This change will go into effect with scheduled weekly maintenance tomorrow, but the tooltip will not yet change. In a later hotfix, we’ll rename relocalize Aspect of the Lion to “Heart of the Lion” and update the tooltip.

No one should take aspect of the hawk. It’s a dps loss. Making your auto shots faster causes them to clip your when you cast aimed shot. Sure in phase 1 people may take it, however it’s useless later. You’re trying to appease the level 25 meta and not thinking past that at all.

how can ppl seriously still be whining about Drain Life? its literally just Siphon Life except worse cuz you can move away - the same thing as the level 30 lock talent

I play warlock but to pretend it’s the same as siphon is disingenuous at best. Siphon tickles whereas drain life with master channeler is the hardest hitting DoT at the moment.
