-Homogenization of classes by dupicating their abilities and giving it to others.
-Trying to hyper balance classes of which balance does not exist in classic without destroying its core design.
-Secretely adding 25% dmg reduction in instanced pvp. No one asked for this and no one wants retails split of pvp and pve.
-Terrible eye sores like meta form or male sucubus.
-Pigeon holing people to pick certain runes over others that are useless or poorly thought out. Not much of a choice now is it when penance, avengers shield, warbringer, aspect of lion, way of earth, sunfire, etc. are the only abilities to choose if you wanna enjoy the game.
-Rogue tanks, mage healers, lock tanks, what??? This is stupid and removes class identity, especially when classes are given tools to cover their achilles heel to be competitive in pvp, which just screws the balance of unbalance (originally having certain counters in a rock paper scizzors format) that now are just transformed to who can do the most dmg and sustain the opponents damage, which leads to whiners on this forum asking to nerf this, nerf that.
Lot of this has nothing to do with retail… atm retail is nothing but a class balance mess and omega M+ / raid gatekeeping disaster where addons play half the game for you because you cant tell wtf is going on most the time.
I like how they’re attempting to make it easier to find tanks and healers. But as it turns out, tank players just rolled locks to try them out, and players who normally play locks still just want to DPS. This problem would be better solved by having dungeons with AI parties so people can practice different roles. But they’re on the right track in their motivation, imo.
I think this is just rewording your first point. Merit to it, but I don’t care too much about class identity, myself. And I only play classic.
It does clash with every environment. Would love to see it toned down and made smaller. But this is really a minor issue in the scheme of things imo.
I think this could be more of a “we’re only level 25 issue”. I mean, there isn’t much diversity in what you pick for talents at level 25 in classic either. The meta is pretty straight forward for that, regardless of runes.
Kind of another rewording of the first two points again. Fair, but it’s not an issue to me personally.
Bring the player, not the class. No one is actually losing sleep just because every healer can dispel every important debuff, they all still play differently
This post is really starting to read like someone is upset that people are allowed to play the class/spec they want instead of being pigeon-holed into specific ones because the one they actually want to play is so bad it’s trolling
Imagine that, the first phase of an entirely experimental game mode is unbalanced, guess we’ll see how things are shaken up with the new runes in phase 2, as well as the balance changes coming every week between now and then
It’s the level 25 P1. You have absolutely no idea what’s planned.
You have absolutely no idea what retail homogeneous abilities do for classes on retail do either. *hint. It’s for viability in all difficulty settings
You sit and cry about “muh meta decisions” when classic was the most imbalanced form of the game that ever existed. There’s always going to be mathematical optimums.
Classic is just such a slow game that player ability plays next to nothing in a pve environment where you press 2 buttons and dodge 1 ability.
This entire game season was meant to steal players from Ascension WoW for sub money which is what this is a ripoff of.I
