Season of discovering warrior dps still best dps

This is sure the meta shake up we were hoping for. Can’t wait to see warriors doubling everyone’s DPS next phase or at 60.

Warriors already 24% ahead of the next best dps.

Warriors 103% ahead of balance druids, one of the lower dps (actually doubling their dps).

What a cool meta we have. Seems familiar though, but worse.

The funniest part is that this is BOSS DAMAGE and isn’t cleave. So expect them to be even better when they can cleave properly and whirlwind.

Phase 2 could be totally different depending on runes. Runes are the wildcard that nobody except Blizzard has any knowledge of, so it’s a bit foolish and premature to make predictions about how things will be in the future.

In Warrior’s case however, the wild card ended up being deep wounds.

I don’t think any player anticipated for it to be able to ramp up like this and I’m surprised there hasn’t been a hotfix yet.

They’re not that wild. The runes we got outside of the actual new stuff to do are mostly spells/abilities that WoW has now or had at some point. I’d wager you can make some educated guess on what the classes will get.

I don’t see warriors being dethroned. Not saying it wont happen but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Especially since the runes warrior already has scale with gear and are % based.

Oh and they have a feedback loop that exponentially increases their damage as warriors get more gear.

They scale infinitely.

Even without any more runes warriors will never be dethroned in SoD unless nerfed.

Runes will only solve so much of that when the real issue is that warrior gets so much of it’s base power in the next 15 levels. Flagellation is getting the addition of berserker rage giving 25% increased damage for 30 seconds in a 40 second window. SMF will be another 10% and consumed by rage will be another 20%. They will also be getting death wish for another 20% damage boost. Unless they prevent these from stacking, the damage will be absurd. Warriors also pick up bloodthirst and whirlwind for instants.

Nothing else will be close to warrior in p2.

In Phase 2, Warriors are going to be absolutely dominant. Berserker rage and enrage talents with the current runes that we have are going to pump DPS hard. I’m very excited

Yep, warriors top of all the charts but they still nerf middle of the pack classes instead due to that warrior nerf immunity.

Yeah it’s odd warriors are not catching any nerfs.

They are clearly over performing at even this level and their runes are percentage based so will scale infinitely.

LOL at the people thinking Warriors wont be king at 60. Warriors will remain top of the charts and be the most desired DPS. Speed runners and parse runs will consist of 15 warriors as usual, so glad they shook up the meta. 10/10 devs

People keep saying this without understanding that warriors scale better than any class and are supposed to be weak early. We are lvl 25 and they are already outscaling everyone. Second best is still almost 25% behind them.

It’s actually amazing people are this bad at basic math.

If a rune gives you 20% damage it always gives you 20% damage even when your gear is better so it gives you a larger and larger increase as your gear gets better.

And warriors do more damage as they get more gear so the gains compound.

Warriors will be absolutely disgusting at 60.

Yup, the only reason I get a spot in speed/parse runs is because I play feral. Got to buff the 4 warriors, 3 rogues, then we take 1 hunter and 1 heals. That is literally the comp lol

The best way to nerf warriors scaling would be put a damage cap on deep wounds. Something like 240% weapon damage.

Because that is what is absolutely breaking them for pve right now, and it will only get worse.

It already is the wotlk version “somehow” instead of the classic era version.

Most classes have runes that add diversity while most warrior runes add DPS to their existing abilities.
