Yeah, but those were opinions.
Between this post and your arguments for RDF in the other thread, it is increasingly clear that SOD isn’t for you.
You don’t appear to want the content that SOD provides. Why are you still here? I think you would be happier in Classic Wrath or retail.
I’m not questioning whether you are alone or others have the same opinions, I’m asking a very clear question about what it is that you do like:
Sure, except that no longer exists, its become Classic Cataclysm.
Gamoora is Gamoora, but bigger. So are Kelris and Aquanis. Aku’Mai just got a pallete shift. The building itself is unchanged. What, they added a couple of trivial mostly ignorable very forgiving mechanics. Yay?
There is no new storyline added, no new quests, nothing interesting to explore. Just a mechanically different iteration on ‘cultists here, cultists bad’.
The one think I like, more healer capable and tank capable specs, is ruined due to no ingame LFG tool (RDF would be better) and not even working Summoning Stones. And no, people aren’t walking to “enjoy the classic experience”, they’re swiping to pay warlocks and mages for teleports and summons. Or farming, either way, its a chore, not an upside.
I was doing something I like. Playing WoW classic iterations.
Then i played SOD because of the hype, And learned that its boring asf
That’s what im here giving my opinion, because I was doing something i like, And it no longer is that thing.
Firstly, the game’s content opens up after level 52 when you get hit with a ton of iconic dungeons and raids in a row. We are still at level 40 which has limited options. This was a part of Blizzard’s roadmap. They are releasing phases every few months. They were clear about that trajectory.
Secondly, what about the announcement made it seem like more? I thought they were very upfront about saying it is seasonal content that may, or may not, lead to Classic+…they only teased Kharazan and SM as new raid content. Not any sort of new region or massive content additions
I would expect Classic+ to be the major influx of new dungeon /raiding /region /storyline content. Not SoD. They are using SoD as a proof of concept for interest in Classic+ and to get a head start on learning what works and what does not
Not yet it hasn’t. You still have a couple months at least before we even have prepatch, let alone Cata proper
Open Beta being up destroys any interest left in a server that is soon to be wiped out. Ironic, I know, since Im whining about a seasonal mode. But alas, no Wrath era on the horizon either.
I guess you’re right. Maybe what Im looking for just isnt there. I like Azeroth well enough, but after seeing how much better it could be its hard having to hoof it everywhere, watch whites drop from dungeon bosses and deal with spammin in chat like a brute.
Imagine if what all we have now plus what we will get at at 50 and 60 was released all at once. It’s going to end up being a ton of content in a very short amount of time. But because its being released in phases it feels minimal. Look at the release of dragonflight and when their phase 2 is supposed to release. Roughly 7-8 months.
A sprinkling of class tweaks every 2 weeks isn’t very much at all.
Runes would be difficult to find some are very obscure.
It’s the player who can’t help but look up guides to be the most efficient way to get them and in what order, etc.
Complaining there is nothing to do or that there is little to discover is partially because players refuse to actually discover anything.
Anyhow, FPs/GYs etc are a valid complaint i’m with you there.
What exactly are we discovering?
how to run across the universe to collect 13 runes you aren’t going to use?
Sod Team screwed themselves adding runes. They are in a constant state of balancing the game instead of developing new content. Game play was probably the last thing they needed to mess with if they wanted to make a classic+ experience.
It’s the whole game is the problem.
Got it . You don’t like it. I was kind of curious about what you meant, but not anymore. You don’t like SoD.
I don’t relate, because I’m enjoying the heck out of it! My only complaint would be that it’s too fun, there are too many things to do, and not enough time! (I mean, I could obviously nitpick and find things to complain about if I wanted to look, like some of the UI bugs from the runes and new NPC quest givers, etc. but a few less than perfectly polished edges don’t ruin the game for me).
Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinion. I hope you find something you do like.
This what I’m saying. These guys are taking these first phases too seriously, putting so much time into these low level phases and pointing their fingers at the devs saying there isn’t enough content.
Maybe it’s time to go touch grass?
Idk some of my runes took a couple hours to get… I did a lot of discovering for those
A raid, a PVP event, and more runes every 3 months. The class tuning is the in-between. SoD is getting more attention than other iterations of WoW and we’re getting it with a smaller team.
Maybe it’s your class but many specs access a good portion of the runes.
Some are bad and unusable, and need to be changed.
That doesn’t invalidate my point or validate yours.
If you don’t like running around in the world, maybe not play classic because news flash : In Classic, you run around in the world.
If you want a hub game where you teleport to everywhere you need to go, with big sparkly flashes all over whatever you need to click, maybe play retail?
This is not engaging gameplay. Where are the quest lines for the runes?
Where are the fun events?
Where are the puzzles?
Where are the breadcrumbs to figure out where the runes are?
It’s just so boring, and uncreative.
There’s a guy in badlands that you need to 1v1 and he drops a chest for you to loot
There’s a frozen mob you need fire spells to unfreeze
You fish up a turtle, You kill a scorpion
its just not engaging
