Season 3 launch, Blizzard goes back on the promise for azerite armor AP level increase

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who noticed that when I bought my 430 Azerite pieces, the 5 iLvl tiers were locked until 59-61 HoA level.

This is on the back of that long, direct video produced highlighting issues in 8.2 that would be addressed, and plainly stated at 3:57 in the video “The artifact power level requirements to access those powers will no longer be increasing.”

Said, from Ion Hazzikostas’s mouth. It’s there in the video for the 8.2 release.

So, what the hell, Blizzard?

I don’t think that’s supposed to happen, as far as I’m aware all of the traits besides the +5 ilvl are the same level requirements as BoD. Despite ilvl difference.

Edit: yeah sort of misread, so kinda ignore that first part, thought you meant the tiers of the azerite piece itself.

The main traits are all that’s intended to be open, the +5 is left for the grind kinda as a “it’s there if you want it, but its not required” deal.

They will say they were specifically talking about the traits. The +5 ilevels at the end isn’t really a decent bonus anyway.

+5 ilvl is not an azerite armor trait.

This still puts the other 3 characters I planned on playing regularly far and wide behind my main, who herself isn’t even close to AP level 60. These grinds are absurd.

+5 ilvl on 3 pieces of gear will not put your characters far and wide behind your main. It will be about 1 over all ilvl, total.

And alts are supposed to be behind mains.

The main traits are intended to have the exact same AP requirements, the +5 ilvl isn’t such a big deal.

A 430 azerite piece will always win out against its 415 equivalent, regardless of AP level.
