Hey mages! I totally stopped playing the last like 3-4 weeks, cause S2 was dead, but thought I would pop in today for a quick minute and see what’s up.
Arcane is feeling good! I like that orbs get recharged a ton faster now, that’s a surprise. I should look into the details some and figure out what “best” is, but I had a fun run and felt strong/smooth. Got into a Ara +2, managed to get Sacbrood at Champion level on the first run of my S3, and it’s still BiS, so I’m happy to start S3 there.
How is arcane for you all?

I always liked Ethereals so unlike the goblin extravaganza I am definitely vibing with the aesthetics for the new zone and raid but I hate that every ethereal and arcane elemental trash mob on K’aresh has better VFX on their arcane skills than what the player has. Makes our spells look like we got them on Temu. 
But, hey, at least we get trinkets with the updated arcane visuals like we did in DF.

Hoping there is some good combos. I haven’t thought about the Tier sets yet either, no idea what they do.
Things are a bit wonky for me at the moment. I’m between gear sets, and the recommended builds are leaning toward Mastery, so I need to reallocate my stats accordingly. it might feel better with the 4P set, hopefully this week!
Also, there’s a current bug with Magi’s Spark—when multiple Arcane Mages use it in the same raid, the first Mage to complete their Spark seems to remove the debuffs for all others. Definitely something to watch out for.

Oh dang, hope they fix the spark bug. I just got 2 piece and that seemed to have boosted me a bit. I don’t do much raid, still hugging the Delves and stepping into M4-ish zone. As spellslinger, I find I like the new recharge on orb, but also it comes up just a little short (meaning I hit some dead play zones where I have no charges and no way to insta-regen them, and no orbs left). I did get a 14M+ crit on something yesterday, and that was pretty hot! I should probably start watching harmony stacks more, but so far I’m just slinging spells, seeing how it feels. I’ve been talent hoping too, still not sure about leydrinker vs aether attunment, the bottom of the arcane tree is less frustrating than it’s been, but I hate giving somethings up for others and I refuse to drop orb barrage (even if it proves to be dps loss), so whatever. At least arcane has had some time in the sun, hoping we stick it out for a while this time.

You’ll have a great time. Mage (or arcane anyway) is doing well. I’m not even a great one and still get invites to groups almost automatically Climbing my D&D latter (Delves & Dungeons)
