If you leave the filters unchecked (blank or unclicked by default), you can see gems when searching for them by name. You will also see anything else with that name. For example, searching ‘Aquamarine’ yields results such as the gem AND patterns/jewelry with aquamarine in the name. If you want to refine your search to just see gems, we would (before prepatch) select ‘trade goods’ form the drop down menu and voila, only see gems for crafting, not anything else. Since prepatch, selecting ANY options in the filters will not show gems alone. This needs a fix. And no, I don’t use any addons to manage my AH dealings or UI mods.
