Rank 1
20 mana instant cast
Fills the Paladin with holy spirit for 30 seconds, granting each melee attack an additional 2 to 8 holy damage. Slower weapons cause more holy damage per swing
Unleashing this seal’s damage will cause 26 holy damage to an enemy.
Rank 2
40 mana instant cast
Fills the Paladin with holy spirit for 30 seconds, granting each melee attack an additional 2 to 8 holy damage. Slower weapons cause more holy damage per swing
Unleashing this seal’s damage will cause 25 to 27 holy damage to an enemy.
Really Blizzard? double the mana for exactly the same power? 14 years and Paladin are still gimp.

The damage will go up on rank 2 as you level. There are a number of spells in Vanilla that slightly adjust their values within a small level range like that.

Yeah. Druid forms increase mana cost with every level…
IIRC rank2 benefits slightly more from spellpower (i.e. JotC) than rank1.
Yeah a number of spells are a percentage of base mana, including Druid forms and the OOC rez spells as well as dispels.
Things like Wrath also increase in base damage a little bit from level to level until you can train in a new rank.
the paladins seal will level with their level until it reaches a cap, at which point you would buy the next spell rank and so on and so forth. It to make it so the paladin spell isn’t ridiculously op when they buy it, and completely garbage when they need a new one.
The judgement does, not the seal itself. The seal modifier is the same between rank 1 and 2, goes up to 18.5% for 1h and 20% for 2h at rank 3 and then drops to the standard 10% and 12.5% for ranks 4+. The judgement suffers from the below level 20 penalty like normal.
Exactly, similar to Mages water spells. First level they can only make 2 at a time and it goes up as they level higher until they get the next rank and back to making 2 at a time.
Pro tip all ranks of seal of command do the exact same thing if u don’t judge
So always bind both rank 1 and max rank seal of command
RIghteousness hits give you an extra chance to proc weapons. So rank 1 of that is also very useful if ur not looking to actually do dmg.
There are a dozen spells i never bothered to buy higher ranks of on my Mage. Sheep and frost nova are the 2 biggest examples.

Nova absolutely, but doesn’t poly duration double or so with ranks?
Yes and no. Rank 3 maxes out the duration which is good for pve. But rank 1 is more than the pvp duration and costs basically nothing.
It’s like rank 1 AE, i regen more mana than it costs and can spam it literally forever.
