"Sea Star" Trinket Doesn't Activate from Healing Spells

The “Sea Star” trinket does not seem to activate from healing spells, even though it reads as “Your spells have a chance to…”

It dropped off of Ozumat in Throne of Tides as Holy Priest specialization. When I got it, I wanted to test out the Proc chance. Over a period of 5-10 minutes of healing Dummies, it did not Proc once. However, when I switched to doing damage, it would activate once every 45 seconds to a minute, roughly.

Can anyone duplicate this matter, and if it is confirmed to not work with healing. Can we get it addressed?

Additional testing has the same results. Healing spells aren’t triggering the trinket. Only offensive ones are. Too bad this is buried already.

Same here.
Got the root from M+ as Holy Paladin. Doesn’t proc on heals but it did proc when I switched to Ret.
Bit disappointing since I need the ilvl but it’s pretty much useless as healer
