SE just too hard

I still think SE is too hard. We went 5/8 this week. But barely. Solistrasza is way too hard. It took us about 10 attempts to down it and we barely did. The boss dives and aoe within the fight is so chaotic. I have no idea how to effectively tank that fight.

Idk. I’ve been under the impression that SoD was for casuals. Aggrend said it himself. But honestly, SE has me pretty much at the end of my rope. I don’t like how hard this raid is. I don’t find the difficulty fun. I find it annoying. I find it frustrating. And not enough loot drops. My raid is 3 weeks in and I haven’t gotten 1 piece of loot.

This is so frustrating to me personally. Idk. If next week feels the same, I’m dead serious that I might just be done.

SE is just too hard. I guess SoD is for hardcore gamers…

Devs, there’s PLENTY of threads telling you this raid is too hard. People are begging you at this point to just nerf this raid so people can do it with 20-25 people.

My raid leader seriously said we have to think about coordinating a second day to finish the raid cause we can’t do it in one night with ~29 people. This doesn’t feel good. It’s frustrating.

If this stays this hard for weeks to come, casual players like me are going to quit. I know you read this and don’t like that. You don’t want to hear this. But it’s clearly true. I’m not the only one asking.

I want to play. I want to raid. But this difficulty just isn’t fun. Please nerf or you’re probably going to see numbers drop off quick.

The devs have already said they are happy with the current prog of raids being 5/8 after week 3. The raid is fine!! Stop crying. Just work on prog, kill bosses get loot rinse and repeat till the raid is cleared.

This is a very key part. Don’t tell players that SoD is casual friendly and built for dad guilds. And that if you want a Heroic level challenge, it’s not for you. Then do Heroic (if not Mythic) level difficulty.

Going forward they’re going to lose what they had going for them: accessibility. If players want a massive challenge they can always play every other version of the game. Do something different here. Maybe players want a different experience.

Yeah right after you stop posting on a level 13 alt.

So no proof, got it. Carry on.

Well if your not going to post on your SoD char?

i mean you’re complaining about a fight that 1) most people arent having any trouble clearing and 2) is harder with more people because of the cremation balls and additional raid wide healing. you have 29 people tell them prioritize not getting hit by the aoe. Theres a difference between being a casual player and being a bad player.

it was also 1 night of 10 attempts which you will probably down in 1-2 next raid. that is casual raid clear speed.

Absolutely, you’re spot on! Most groups aren’t struggling with this fight, and the mechanics are really about execution, not tuning issues. Having 29 players does mean the cremation balls and raid-wide healing add complexity, but that’s exactly why coordination is key. If everyone prioritizes avoiding the AoE, the fight becomes significantly more manageable.

And honestly, 10 attempts in a single night is completely normal for progression. The fact that the boss went down means that next time, you’re likely clearing it within 1-2 tries as your group refines the approach. That is casual raid progression speed, and it’s exactly how fights are meant to be learned.

This is all part of improving each week—bosses feel chaotic at first, but once mechanics settle in, you’ll barely think about them. Thats what known as progression.

I know you don’t care, and you’ll die on your hill, but the fact of the matter is that there’s a large chunk of the SoD playerbase that do not want to have difficult progression raids like this. They’ve been able throughout the entire season to clear raids in a timely manner without much struggle, have difficulty options, and be showered with loot.

SE, while an awesome raid and I personally like the challenge, is a stark contrast to that. It’s not what a lot of people want. They want to raid one night a week for a few hours, hang out with their guild, and get some loot. I think they’d be more okay with slower progression if the raid was appropriately tuned for 20 people, and not tuned for 20 people in full SE gear.

As it stands, gearing is extremely slow for guilds who can only kill a couple bosses at a time, and these things combined are making guilds collapse. Blizzard admittedly has a lever ready to pull for an optional zone-wide buff to the raid group to make things easier. There’s no reason not to pull this lever now. Make it easier for the casual dads, allow for it to be difficult for the sweats.

SoD is the first version of vanilla that I actually enjoy.
Going into all of these iconic raids for the first time was fun, and challenging for the first time. The groups I was part of wiped every now and then, even if the fights were out for about 2 decades now.
The “progression” of the raids back in the day always sounded miserable to me, and hearing how little loot you actually get per run always turned me away form that version of the game.
Right now it feels like I am playing a vanilla experience with all the difficulty, and very little reward, just like back in the day. It is not an experience I signed up for, and so I think it is reasonable to ask for a few things to be tweaked.
I can only speak for myself, but “Vanilla styled raid progression” is not what me or many other SoD players signed up for.

SOD is on it’s last phase. I am very happy the raid is hard and requires progression. There are plenty of other hand holding faceroll raids you can do. Don’t like it nobody is forcing you here it’s a video game lmfao. Learn 2 play

Another “git gud” post from someone that probably has not even stepped foot in the raid.

Link your logs of your 20 man full clear or the name of your sod main character so the rest of the scrubs can learn how to do it.

Unfortunately they got the tuning wrong to start and set the progression arc behind what is expected.

I think it’s on point now but if the week 3 tuning had been in place to start there would have been a lot more gear and attempts on the back 3 bosses at this point.

Lmfao more cope from people who peaked in high school and now play games just for the free dopamine handouts. Sorry 2010 isn’t ever coming back.

Git gud and learn2play kiddie

Full cleared 3 times already.

This is the intellect from the people who think the raid is properly tuned for 20 man.

Why even post about the SE raid if you haven’t even tried it yet?
