So back in Legion I had done the mage tower in which I got the Scythe of Elune skin for my boomkin. The only tint I’ve yet to get requires 10 rated battleground wins am I able to accomplish this by doing solo shuffle.

I honestly don’t know anything about solo shuffle outside of a few clips, and they all looked like Arena stuff to me. I might be wrong. But if that’s the case, then I’m thinking no. RBG’s are something of a coordinated group effort set in the traditional battlegrounds like Warsong Gulch.

I’m pretty sure only rbgs count for that skin to unlock since I’ve seen posts about people wanting it to include other things like solo shuffle.

That’s the only tint I don’t have either, and Solo Shuffle has not counted toward unlocking it.

Yes, I’m missing purple sparkle kitty, and I think the requirement should be nerfed to bgs at appropriate level. So a player who earned it in Legion and is still a 45 could just queue.

They just need to remove the pvp element for a pve item.

The appearances are weapon appearances, so they aren’t strictly for pve.

If you don’t want to do the content, then you don’t get the reward. It’s pretty simple

Wrong, that particular version of the Scythe was from doing PVE content.
That particular TINT is from doing pvp content. Either do the pvp content that is required or realize that you don’t deserve the reward 
I mean, it’s just ten wins at ANY MMR. You could knock that out in a couple hours lol

Not to mention, when they were current they were the only weapons you could use…so they were definitely PvP content.
Having said that, some of the best colors are locked behind RBGs and it does suck imo, but I don’t think they’re gonna change it.

I want all pvp content removed from pve content and rewards.

Pretty sure you can get it via Random Battlegrounds as well as Rated Battlegrounds.
They’re not account-wide, which sucks.
Also, Solo Shuffle doesn’t count towards this.
I got my 10 rated wins on a hunter a few days ago, but he’s not the same hunter I got the mage tower artifact on, although he uses it for transmog.
Still no rated PvP tint, unfortunately.
Unless they make it fully account-bound, I’ll probably never get it.
My old Legion alts are basically abandoned so I could play some Allied Race characters.
Let it be known- I’ve tried going after the PvP tint, but they don’t unlock unless you’re doing rated battlegrounds on the SAME character you beat the Mage Tower challenges on, and got the weapons.

Funny to see people commenting on this (something I had been mentioning for a bit) now after the balance of power changes. Had the +15 skin not been made account wide, people would have pressed to have that changed too.
That being said, blizz should just make the 10 rbg win for mage tower skin account-wide.
