Would something like this help to make Inscription relevant again?

It wouldn’t, there is a major city portal in every new expansion hub. Inscription should just be merged with another profession
Or we could remove the portals from the new zone. Make people buy scrolls to org or hearth/zep out!

Inscription had so much potential to change around spell visuals. But I guess it takes lots and lots of work.
Make inscription glyphs give talent points. Not main skills but but one point towards skills that require 2-3 points. It will allow for more flex builds. Making inscription worthwhile. And if you have a glyph for a skill that is not connected in your tree you still get the point.
only allow like 1 or 2 of these otherwise it might get pretty OP.

Even if you didn’t have a Mage, just about every city has a portal to anywhere relevant and they’re all stone throws away. Don’t think it’d really appeal to scribes all too much.
Now, using scrolls as consumable spells with various benefits like D&D scrolls that are consumed with use? That could be fun and interesting!
You can buy 3 different cloaks at the guild vendor (depending on guild rep) to port to Orgrimmar.
Maybe other scrolls to port to major cities.
Like a pocket portal.

WoW players love minmaxing, I think it would appeal to enough players getting around.
Being they already got rid of on-use scrolls that gave small stat buffs I cant see that aligning with Blizzards philosophy on the game.
This is going in the direction of more work/ more difficulty balancing for Blizzard so i see this as unrealistic, attaching some teleport spells to some scrolls seems like pretty minimal effort idea for Blizzard to give the proffesion even just a little relevancy.
We sure do. On one ocassion in recent memory, I burned through all three teleport cloaks, my Dalaran hearthstone, and my brawlpub ring and stoll had to use a potion to deepholm because it was all still on cooldown. That was a rare occurence, but I would definitely buy teleport scrolls. Good luck getting that past the Mages and the union of engineers, though.
Make Inscription able to make transmogs. How crazy would that be. Have the player need to posses the item, and it consumes it on creation. So you would need to farm a bunch. BUT they can inscribe all types of weapons and armor. So someone that can farm lets say Mythic ToS could make transmogs and slap them on the AH.
That would actually be pretty legit thinking about it.
Even more crazy is if they could do it with Mounts. But that’s a bit over the top but the possibilities are endless.
Edit you could also limit it to the armor and weapons they can use. so 1 person can’t throw 80 transmogs on the AH from 1 run.
I usually just carry the 2 cloaks and the brawl ring, maybe i should get the third…
Your feedback on the teleport scroll idea is appreciated.
If we are keeping major hub portals. Then places of interest scrolls would be much more Ideal. Scroll of Torgast or Timeless Isle or Mage Tower and what ever the point of interest is for Dragonflight. We currently have hundreds of ways to get to a major city. But the run to points of interest that you go to each day/week would be optimal. Heck old world raid/dungeon scrolls would be awesome. Do a run for a transmog - pop a scroll to the next one - do the raid - pop a scroll. People would purchase hundreds

We already have this with the guild cloaks so it’s not like there’s a huge demand.
I’d also be very happy with a scroll that just teleported me to the start of the instance.

A little, but mages would be on here crying their eyes out everyday for having something stolen from them (even though selling ports hasn’t been a thing in many years).
