I have been using the item that increases you chance to get scrolls, but with the RNG and low mob count on the Reach it is icredible punishing and a huge time waster. I got 3 scrolls after 3 hours of farming! Only 3. You need 50. Does Blizzard really expect us to spend 50 hours on the Reach trying for this? Comparing with other achievements in the Meta, this one is the hardest and biggest time waster. Either increase the drop-rate, Increase the number of mobs, increase there spawn rate, please do something. I doât want to spend the next several mouths going for one achievement. This is NOT fun! Itâs RNG-Hell. Please, please fix this. Or best yet, I have over 150k Elemental Overflow, please let us buy the scrolls from a vendor.
What you call âtime-wastingâ, Blizzard calls âquality engagementâ.
Youâre supposed to spend huge amounts of time trying to accomplish anything. Asking Blizzard management to stop doing the thing that jacks up their share prices seems⌠unlikely.
Now, as Microsoft takes over, maybe that will change⌠but maybe not, because AFAICT, âengagementâ is a standard metric throughout the online gaming industry, so just changing the sign on the building may not change the developer priorities.
The Scroll Hunter achievement was in the game long before the meta and was very easy to get when Forbidden Reach was âcurrentâ as the things dropped all the time in the farm groups. Yes, it is harder now because no one is really there, but that is what happens when you are backfilling achievements.
I did those group and I have had bad RNG. What a rude comment.
They told us in the last Blizzcon that they were moving away from big Time wasters. There is no quality in these engagements. I donât want to spend 50 hours on one achievement. That is too much!
People really forget the meaning of the word âachievementâ.
Itâs fine.
It took me a couple nights of farming with a few friends.
Then donât do it.
