was:
/script ResetInstances();
/camp
*relog
*appear outside instance
a legit thing in classic wow?
Dunno, Classic hasn’t been launched yet. Could you do it in Vanilla?
Unless I am massively miss remembering they still had the instance limit in classic so its questionable how useful it would be.
I am not aware of it working this way in Vanilla, but I don’t think I ever tried it.
I am also foggy on it. . but … I do suspect this is a pserver thing.
I am 90% sure that right clicking on your portrait in vanilla revealed the “Reset Instances” option (the /script Reset Instances(); is simply a shortcut command you can use via in-game chat/console)
I never tried using /camp or even heard of it, but I was a young noob gamer back in '05.
If I recall, Typing /camp logged you out of the game.
It does start a logout
It is an alias for /logout probably for the RP’ers who wouldn’t be “logging out” they’d be “encamping for awhile”
I think it came from EQ
Last I checked, theres not really anyone that can remember, or knows whether in vanilla after resetting an instance if you could just logout and get ported. I don’t think it worked that way personally but /shrug
Its one of those things people want to desperate check for in the beta. Assuming there is one. It has a huge effect on inside instance farming for certain instances. Some however it wont have any effect on.
My recall on being teleported out of the instance was it sent you back to your hearthstone bind point. Not to the instance portal.
Now logging out while in an instance, if you were logged out long enough(and everyone else had left/logged), could take you back to the entrance. But it wasn’t “just” a matter of reset and logout. Could be wrong though, I don’t think anyone I knew of tried resetting an instance while inside it.
So possibly a private server thing?
