Have an issue while playing the game where the screen will go out and players/objects will disappear, and then reappear after like 10 seconds or so. It only happens every now and then (anywhere from a couple times an hour to once every 2 hours or so) but its annoying enough to mention.
Any thoughts?

this has been happening to me all of season 2 & 3. And now, just 5 mins ago it happened but this time it restarted my computer. I was doing a follower dungeon.
i was waiting for mid next year to get a new computer…
I did find a few possible solutions that I have yet to try out yet from another thread I created on Screen issues
Some answers were switching to Dx11 from Dx12, updating graphics driver, and turning off hardware accelleration on google chrome if you have that opened while playing the game

mmmm just happened again in wow with chrome in background (no accelleration)
however,
when it restarted the computer, and i opened chrome , it happened again
so maybe not a wow thing but graphics card thing… poo
It sounds actually like it might be a memory issue

Ok. So i got an extra 32gig of ram and got my computer cleaned as well as my cpu fan replaced. But still this issue persists.

If i do get Midnight, hopefully addons are returned, i’ll probably get a new system and post an update.

yea I tried a few things from the other thread but no luck.
I’m only running Details, which is up to date and my Drivers are up to date
I’ve noticed it mostly happens when I try to use my transmog mount, and it seems to happen more in a crowded area (like a city), so if I use my transmog mount away from the crowd, most of the time it is fine.
It is mostly just an annoyance at this point and I still didn’t try everything from the previous thread to fix it but just treating it as “oh well, this happens”

I would run a video memory test on your video card it’s getting a little older while the memory is likely still good you may need to underclock the memory due to its age
I’ve actually been running into this issue, since the last two patches ago. Im not sure what causes it, but in prior patches it wasnt an issue at all. Its also the only game that I own that does this to me. So Ive been trying to figure this out for a while. I did google periodic screen freezes, and it gave me options to disable preloads, as it was loading double the amount of information during login screen issues. Mine freezes almost all the time during the character screen, and then will periodically freeze 4 to 8 seconds every 30 mins of playing the game.
I was really hoping that there would be a fix for this by now, as I don’t want to replace any hardware for the sake of 1 game, when every other game that I play doesnt have this issue… I.E, I play dbd, heroes of the storm, destiny 2 and many other games without this issue.
I’ve noticed it is mostly only an issue if I open my transmog in a heavily populated area, like Dornogal.
In almost all other situations it is fine.
Ya mines like that too. But it’s very random.
Mine does this too. The biggest culprit is when I am running wow in one window and another game in the other. This time last year it didn’t happen, and it ONLY happens with wow. It happens rarely with wow and multiple tabs in my browser but with any other game in the same situation its perfectly fine.
One question I do have for you.
Are you running WoW in Full Screen or Windowed mode?
Had an issue several months ago: if I alt-tabbed while in Windowed mode, WoW would hard-stop (sometimes crash), then redraw all the graphics, but stuff didn’t quite look right.
I fixed this issue by playing in Full Screen (non borderless-windowed mode).
Everyone posting here should probably provide their system information. Both the Adrenalin and nVidia apps are capable of generating a report you can paste into a post here. The behaviour described in the OP is exactly what happens when the graphics driver crashes and is restarted. We’re going to need to know those specs so we can determine if there’s a common denominator.
no I play in full screen but I did have that issue! - Actually that USED to be the issue, it would only happen when I alt-tabbed out sometimes. Now it doesn’t happen when I alt-tab, but it does happen when I open the transmog interface in a heavily populated area, like Dornogal

having the same issue, screen freezes then goes blank, eventually reloads. it just got worse with 12.0. I did notice the one person that posted system specs has nvidia card. I to have nvidia. I read they are having issues with the last driver and windows 11 users. not sure if its the same as what we are experiencing. Idk, gonna keep digging. I rolled back my driver, may need to go further. If that doesn’t work I may roll back to windows 10 seeing how my system wasnt supported.

Which game version? If it’s Retail/Midnight, this processor doesn’t meet the system requirements anymore.
For mine I have a 3070 TI, 32 GB DDR5 ram, 13th gen Intel i7 processor, and it’s on a m.2 ssd.
After rolling back drivers and having no luck, I went back to windows 10. So its been about 20 days and haven’t had an issue. Im running the current video driver. I know an MVP pointed out my processor is no longer supported, its still within there minimum specs. My cpu runs about 20 to 60% depending on what I’m doing including 2 boxing.
