Screen flicker while minimizing - G-sync.

I notice a a flicker and random pixels in some spots for less than 1sec when i try to minimize WoW.

I tried to change my monitor refresh rate.. but nothing happened..

Is this normal with G-sync?
The flicker is, but the unchanging refresh rate and the random pixels are not.
Are you using DX11 or DX12? What GPU/drivers?

DX12

Nvidia BFA driver 398.82.

But trust me driver has nothing to do with this.. I updated to the latest and nothing changed.

Other question,

How can I know if G-sync is actually working for sure?

I'm using ASus monitor and whenever I turn the FPS indicator on the top right.. it doesn't stay at 100Hz full time it matches my fps in game.. and my in game FPS is capped to 100Hz.

Does that mean it's on?

However, If I turn G-sync off.. My monitor FPS indicator stays full time at 100hz FPS without matching my in game FPS... but my in game FPS is not capped anymore could see 300fps in empty places.
Which GPU ???!!!???

Set it to full screen Windowed in the wow graphics options page.

Make sure in Nvidia control panel the G-sync option is set for full screen and windowed.

Be sure your game video settings have vsync turned off, foreground fps is not capped (just un check it).

Also have a look this post here.

Also update your driver. The latest GEFORCE driver is 416.34. It's best to be on the latest version of the driver.

Did that and it made it worse..

My fps got un-capped and I was getting 300fps on empty places in Outland with Stutter.
Let's see this info here..cause now you have me curious.

DxDiag

Press Windows Key + R.
Type DxDiag and press Enter.
In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
Name the file "dxdiag" and click Save.

Paste contents of that file in a reply here between the code tags "</?>"

Aside from that, check your CPU and GPU temps with hwinfo or whatever software of choice you prefer to validate temps are within a good range.
Have you tried running WoW on the 7700k's iGPU and see if the issue still shows?

Could be the card it self probably

CPU 30-45c while gaming .. and GPU 60c or something
NO Dxdiag report? Why the fear? just bank out items that are private, ie computer/host name etc
I've had problems with DX12 and Gsync on my 1080 TI (it doesn't work) but the pixels are a strange problem and not normal. To verify it Gsync works or not, set your frame cap at 41 with Gsync on and off. Your eyes should notice a difference.

Anyone find a fix for this? I just recently started experiencing this problem too(the flickering). I can only play in full screen without flickering which I never play this game in full screen. Otherwise to play in windowed mode I have to set my monitor to 60Hz. I was really starting to enjoy the higher frame rates even for this game. This flickering is starting to become very annoying. I do not have this problem with any other game either.

everyone having this issue do the following:

Right click on the desktop, open the nVidia control panel.

In the control panel, select the option “change the resolution” (NOT in the WIndows Control Panel)

Select your native resolution AND refresh rate.

Otherwise, what is happening is that Windows is trying to run the desktop at 60hz, and the game is trying to run at Xhz (whatever youre trying to run at), and with G-sync it causes serious issues.

I just did a nuke and pave, and was having serious judder issues in Destiny 2 and other games until i remembered to do this.

See if that clears up your issues.
