Screen flashing at low health

Hello, recently I had an update to my graphic drivers. After I did the update, it reset my in-game graphic settings. So I fixed all that, however, it seems to keep me in a permanent state of my screen flashing at low level. I have checked & unchecked the little box in the interface options many times. It keeps flashing at low health. It drives me nuts, hurts my eyes, & gives me headaches when the screen flashes. How can I fix this?

Leahna,

Sounds like you’ve got an addon messing with the LUA or a console variable stuck. If you enter this command in chat and press enter, does it fix it?

/console cvar_default

If not, let’s uninstall any addon managers (Twitch, Tukui, Wowmatrix, etc) and reset your UI, then retry the command.

Hello, thank you for the response. So sorry it has taken me awhile to get back to this. I haven’t tried the command yet. I am headed to bed, so I will try this command first thing in the morning. I do not have any addon managers installed, but I will reset my UI anyway. The only thing extra that I have downloaded recently (that I did not have before) was TomTom for the Lunar Festival event. Pretty sure none of the other 6 addons I have are not the cause, since I have been running them for a few years without issue: DBM, GTFO, Recount, Move Anything, Ask Mr. Robot, & Master Plan.

wow ok, I just tried that command in-game & my game did not like it at all. It spammed me with, “You are not allowed to do that function.” or some such message. It also messed up all my graphics, lol, put me at lvl 4 on graphics & my screen is so dark now, I can hardly see anything. :frowning: /cry let me try resetting my UI.

Ok, I deleted all the folders & reset the UI. Double checked to make sure the box was selected to not flash at low health. Seems to be fixed. But now my graphics are still not what I had before I ran the above command. lmao. But I can adapt to that, unless there is a way to get it back to what it was before? lol. But no more flashing ! YAY!

I will check back in the morning to follow up. But it seems to be fixed for now. Thank you very much! Would like to know if I can get my old graphics back :smiley: If not that’s ok too!
