Why in Azeroth’s name don’t you get at least some pearls back for scrapping benthic gear especially when it’s a CHANCE to get one of the three different pieces for anything that isnt a belt or azerite gear? Force me to use up pearls to get a piece that has the stats necessary to my class, but don’t allow me to recoup at least SOME of the resource like residuum does?

due to the pieces of benthic gear being BOA before identified, scrapping for pearls would allow players to funnel unlimited manapearls to their preferred character. And generally blizz avoids giving too much advantage to people playing lots of characters.
I crafted some of the new 415 goggles today so I could get the recipe for the next ilvl rank. I scrapped them assuming I’d get mats back similar to how we got a lot of what we put in back in the other crafted goggles, but only got back 15 Expulsom and 15 Tidalcore (Tidalcore?! Do we even use that anymore lol)

Sorry for rezing this but I just scrapped my first piece of Benthic Gear today (leather boots) and got back Coarse Leather among other “old” materials. Why not give Nazjatar materials? Was it too hard to program that in? If this is “working as intended”, I guess all extra Benthic Gear will just go to the Dis-Enchanter from now on. At least I won’t chase world quests for my third set of gloves or whatever.
