This SCRAP Heap event is probably the worst event in recent history. Sometimes the SCRAP Heap doesn’t even allow you to shovel, making the event worthless. To make matters worse, small population servers suffer because you can’t get even get 1/3 the way through when it does actually work. This design is just bad.

That’s why I posted that it doesn’t work 90% of the time
Certain things stop you from being able to shovel, by design. If there are little bags that spawn around, they all need to be clicked to continue on. If bombs spawn, they need to be clicked to continue on. The main one that happens when people think it breaks, is little fires spawn. You have to run over them to put them out and then you can continue to shovel. Once I knew about the fire one, I haven’t had a single one of these “break.”

Right… but there are also instances where we could only shovel enough for about 10 seconds and wouldn’t let you shovel again the entire time. Wave after wave and no shoveling at all.
You don’t need to explain how the mechanics work, that’s not the issue. The issue is when the mechanics are broken, which is why this complaint is in the Bug Report forum.

I noticed this as well when I did the weekly for it. Some SCRAP jobs wouldn’t let us shovel and there weren’t even any enemies to kill. The timer just kept ticking down while we stood around waiting to be able to shovel again.
