This winter would be the perfect time to drop a scourge event.
Why you may ask?
Well, there are a lot of people playing Era who missed Classic’s release or the event altogether.
There are very good items from there, as well as cosmetic items.
It’s a fun little event that allows people to not only grab Argent dawn rep, niche items, powerful items, and cosmetics but it also allows people who didn’t get to do it a chance to do it as well as another fun little activity for the community to do together. Flying around the world going to scourge events was a blast.
This would be such a small quality of life change that would really bring a lot to the community especially with the rapid growth in Era.

I liked it. But unfortunately you people all complained about it nonstop and many of you threatened to unsub if Blizzard didn’t end the even when you wanted.
I dont ever want any sort of prepaunch event for any of the Classics ever again. You people always complain about them and cause them to get certain phases shut down early. You people couldnt handle the last scourge invasion.

Na. It was super disgusting what you people did. There was zero reason to spam the forums for days on end, threating to unsub if Blizzard did not end the event right away. The few ruin it for the many. And they certainly ruined the event for everyone else who actually enjoyed it.

Just ask around if you think I am making this up. There were thousands of posts complaining about the scourge even and it got spammed nonstop. Not trolling for telling the truth here.
These people complain about dying to D/Cs in HC nonstop now and say how it is unfair and should be given another chance even though they signed an agreement that says exactly that if you die to a D/C it cannot be revered… that is the same group of people who spammed nonstop about the Scourge event. You can go look at the forums during that time period. I’m not trolling. I am telling the absolute truth. That is what you people did.

Every Classic Era player would enjoy seeing the Scourge Invasion return. I think you are confusing this with the retail progression realms (tbc->wrath).

The Classic/Vanilla event was different from the WotLK pre-patch. Players did not turn into zombies and infect other players etc.
That one you complained about to but not as much. And in cata… you complained about tripping the rifts. And in almost everyone ever you people complain about them in. Okay fine. Lets just see them add an event…and be sure to tell me how right I was as soon as the people start complaining. Even had people mad about the DF one.
No one complained about the Scourge Invasion of Naxxramus opening during the transition of phase 5 into phase 6. On the contrary, plenty Classic Era players have requested many times throughout the years for the event to recur.

Yea cuz Wrath servers are rumoured to be coming back in fresh versions. So people say. As for Classic, they have stated our HC toons can go to reg already existing servers once it is over… but I have a hard time believing what they say. They did kinda say there would be another SOM…still waiting on that one.
Well they did also say they would never launch the old world the way it was, then they said they would never do TBC after that, then they said… yea idk. People up top aren’t sharing the correct info with one another so… we get conflicting info.
Also, no knew servers are being created so…no such event would be possible unless they go back on their word.
Blizzard has never said they will never bring the Scourge Invasion back to Classic Era. And even if they did, on account of the Invasion never having technically occured before on Era realms, it wouldn’t be returning. It would be happening for the first time.
There is no standing obligation, written or spoken, that would contradict their implementation of the Scourge Invasion on Classic Era. They simply have not done it.
And now that Era has HC realms, it would make even more sense for the Invasion to be brought online for the Classic Era Communities.

Only if we can cluster them at the front of raid entrances making it a battle to zone in…
Also have couple zombie Priest/Shamans that can dispell world buffs, Chrono’d or not.
It’d be nice for more sort of invasions to be revived seasonally, even for no rewards, and maybe not so overpowered.
