When did you all schedule this maintenance? Right when you showed up to work today?
I saw the message during a NW run. We got done right before the server was going to drop. I’m surprised we made it honestly.

They probably scheduled it the same way my old bosses did. Making a last minute change after you went home on what you thought was your day off and expecting you to come in to look at the schedule at 10pm when you’re asleep.

there was a message on the bnet launcher last night. It’s annoying how often they have to do extra maintenance recently but I’d rather have the game working than an extra hour of playing

I just lost another key to it, so I would consider yourself lucky. I am superbly over all of this. I loaded up the launcher, and no message was there. Not that the launcher even displays a message about maintenance half the time anyway. So I started a depths key and roughly 10 minutes in we got the message.
yeah this is my gripe, it’s hit or miss whether the launcher even says a maintenance is coming up. that’s the only place i’m ever going to check, other than the login screen, and it’s far more convenient on the launcher

I honestly don’t see the problem, you can’t just use your telepathy to read the sharpie the boss scribbled on a piece of paper, hung in their locked office, while the store was closed, to see when you were “”“scheduled”“”?
(everyone has had ‘that boss’ lol its so annoying)

Agreed. I don’t really get on the forums that much, especially if the servers are live. If the launcher actually updated reliably I would be a lot less bothered.
The message was up last night. Over 12 hours ago by now.

Ohhhhh I’ve experienced this countless times. It’s fun having a boss that is about half as intelligent and organized as you. I’m constantly needing to remind him to add events to our digital calendar (of which only he can edit), and to inform staff when a meeting will occur, because they don’t simply assume there will be one (how would they?)
and we’re saying we would literally rather see it on the launcher because we would literally rather not have to log in just to see if there’s a maintenance scheduled in the near future

Lying down last night thinking to myself “Tomorrow will be a scheduled Maintenace since I have free time in the morning.” At least it’s not a “what if” anymore!
It was definitely not in my login screen when I logged in this morning. I was totally surprised to see the 15 min server shutdown warning on chat.

same, and i had the launcher open last night before i went to bed and it wasn’t there. i’ve had the message disappear when the servers were still down for maintenance even, making me think it was over
yes complaining about a video game launcher not announcing maintenance is a first world problem that we are still allowed to complain about because of convenience issues. thank you for coming to my ted talk

It might not show up on the login screen if you get into the game directly through the launcher. But it’s definitely been there all night if you launch WoW with its .exe instead of going through bnet.
