I’m super excited. I’ve already got my level 85 monk done and I’m about ready to get my mage out of the starting zone. I am so ready for this.

What you didn’t want anybody to see your “cool story, bro as I swag back to retail” comment?

This was posted in the retail forum before they stealthily moved it here, champ.
Since they moved it, my comment no longer applied.

Still felt pretty snarky, but then again I see which realm you’re from

So was your reply so I guess we’re even and never need to speak again. Cheers.

You’re right we don’t have to. Have a great day.

What are the chances of the classic mop characters being transferred to retail someday? :eyes::eyes:

I tried to do the scenario first day of pre patch and it wouldn’t let me check the box to queue for it lmao. hopefully they fixed that….

Imagine spending so much time on the internet you think this is a viable personality type

If you aren’t first you’re last and that’s what you’ll all be in challenge modes… Last

Good luck

What are the chances challenge mode sets get transferred to retail? I only did PVP back in mop i wish i knew what i was missing out on :frowning:

The chance is probably about the same as the number of times this has happened since Classic first launched. Which is to say, zero.

I’m tempted to level up a Warrior and DK to get the CM sets…

i can’t find any pics of the new sets. only a lot of assumptions made by fan sites with no sources. i CANNOT FIND ANY CREDIBLE SOURCE that blizz has said cm class sets are coming back. even this very announcement specifically says:

Achieve Gold times and unlock transmogrification sets inspired by the theme of each dungeon

what a unique choice of words. none of the original CLASS sets were themed after the dungeons themselves. am i wrong?

That’s just a weird description by blizzard.

No the challenge mode sets were not themed around the dungeons, they were themed around the classes.

The mop challenge mode sets in classic mop will be the same ones that retail MoP offered.

But you will not be able to use the mop classic challenge mode sets on your retail account - they don’t transfer over.

Until they change their mind, as they did the Violet Spellwing and the Chosen; and I think they will. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this company and dealings… think of what is the least helpful, or most detrimental for the player. That is the course that ultimately will be taken under the pretext that they were ‘listening’.

It’ll of course coincide with them shutting the servers down as well, because they know if players thought things ‘could’ transfer, they would participate in an instant. Same dealie-o as Classic and Season of Discovery. Nope. It’ll be done in such a way to ensure that once these brand ‘new rules’ are in place, no one but the Devs profit from it.

People who want the classic challenge mode sets to use on their retail accounts are already paying a sub, so allowing the sets to transfer over doesn’t give blizzard any more money.

Now if classic had a separate sub from retail and blizzard would get a second sub fee from retail
Players who wanted to play classic, then we might see it.

Ultimately, blizzard does what makes them the most money.

But ironically enough, what would make blizzard the absolute most money would be to put the challenge mode sets on the wowshop for $200 each.

that’s not even my main concern anymore. i spent hours looking for any blizz post literally saying original class cm sets were coming back. after their explanation and reasoning for not bringing back mage tower weps in legion remix and how they specifically mentioned mop cm’s as one of those examples, plus the official post saying “dungeon themed” i think were all in for a massive dissapointment.

here’s hoping im dead wrong. but i need them to clarify asap.

challenge mode sets are pretty popular…

i thought they would return in classic, but in the reward section you state players will instead earn a set inspired by the dungeon instead… ?? are you keeping original challenge mode sets vaulted?
