Blizzard needs to make up their minds on Scatter Shot. It’s still tuned and designed as if it were a baseline ability but it’s a PvP talent. It should either be a baseline spell with lots of limitations or a PvP talent with a lot of power. It should not have the worst of both approaches.

it has all the limitations it needs. breaks on 1 point of damage and has a cooldown. reduce its duration to 3 sec and change its DR

It has appropriate limitations for a baseline ability, but it’s not baseline. That’s why you’re right when you suggest it should be off the trap DR.

Well… Actually all you gotta do is fix pvp vendors and you got me tbh. Make pvp gear best for pvp and I’m happy
What makes it worse? Warlock Imp dispel on the trap, DH Reverse Magic, and Adaptation (idk if this will be in Shadowlands). But it’s SO punishing because we don’t have spammable CC. It used to be the DPS that had to eat the traps and now it’s just press a button and boom it’s gone

Agreed, they should 100% be off of DR of each other. For those that struggle with trapping if you’re not already doing it I would use a focus concussive shot macro and trap off the slow from your conc shot. Makes it far easier to land your traps.

It’s been over two years and blizz still doesn’t care about the state of pvp. I have very little faith in whoever is responsible for the current MM atrocity, let alone pvp balancing of a hunter.
