These aren’t fun, or interesting, or serve any purpose other than to waste the time of people trying to get things done. Whoever put these into the game and especially whoever thought it was a good idea to have them patrol directly to where the highest concentration of players would be trying to complete crafting and questing goals in the zone, and sprint around to make sure they could catch anyone trying to avoid them, should be fired and not let anywhere near game design again. If you put something in your video game for the sole purpose of creating misery or slowing down your players progress in an annoying and un-fun way, this is terrible game design and you should be in a different career.

It’s part of the Role Play aspect of disguising to be a Scarlet member. Why do so many players want it to be ezpz, like cmon
Personally, I would have made it so they detect only the illusion you get from the lady during the investigation quest.
What’s really annoying is there’s no protection from them while wearing the Tier set OR the Tabard. - At least it doesn’t appear there are; still see people in full T3.5 getting rundown by the dogs. I haven’t seen the tabard yet, but I’ll just assume it also doesn’t afford protection from detection.
There’s no amount of being good that’ll make these dogs any less worthless.

Putting one patrolling near mailbox is troll.
Getting / sending mats…it spawns near the mailbox, aggros, clear disguise, all npcs around attack…
…fun…

No, not really. It has a few uses and the dogs don’t add anything to it.
It’s nice to AFK your character in places and go get food/snack/drink. The dogs prevent that. I’d have preferred we get totally immersed into a whole new city, rather than just a barebones location with patting dogs. Could feel similar to dalaran or shattrath. Actually can see the opposing faction outside of PvP
hehe those dogs suck but the people tagging you from atop the gates or right before you enter so the guards eat you are almost more annoying lol.
