In honor of Halloween all year round… What is your scariest moment from your time playing WoW? Now it can be something game related… or maybe another player was haunting you via whisper.
Mine would be; seeing the Writhing Leviathan from afar. Something about things lurking underwater gets me.
The moment I realized Fury couldn’t PVP…then realizing unless you have pocket heals…warrior is the worst class for PVP. Warrior’s make great bank toons though…heroic leap to the mailbox is useful.
That moment where you’re in a m+/torghast/horrific vision, you press a keybind, you see the ability light up, but your character doesn’t do anything. 3 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds…you know you’re already dead. Do you altF4 and log back in? Maybe the server will catch you up? What do you do??
Logging in one day to see how empty your friends list is and having it hit you how many people have left the game. And hoping they’ll be back.
(Dun dun dun!)
Finally getting him to the final phase, absolutely terrified we wouldn’t kill all three portions of him at the same time, forcing us to wipe and start all over again.
The first time I heard The headless horseman…I was on Azuremyst isle leveling a Draenei and didn’t realize some of the bosses have global speech… I haven’t been that scared witless since I once put “Crazy train” by Ozzy Osbourne on and leaned back in my chair and forgot I had set the song to pay…
Back on my first toon which was a warlock, my guildmates and I were the ones who took the corrupted blood back to Ironforge when Zul’gurub came out in vanilla. That place I recall was just so chaotic on my server with players just spreading it everywhere. It took me a while to figure out it was the debuff we brought from the instance but had no idea why this was happening. I have a fraps video of it somewhere if I can find it.
