I am very scared of the state of healer players next expansion.

With Evoker being able to rdps and heal, and everyone rerolling to the newest hero class, I feel like tanks and dps are going to be in short demand.

My gut feeling tells me that we are probably going to have more healers than dps next expansion, and this effects me because as a healer main myself, I will most likely have to reroll as a dps because of all the evoker players.

This is why I also wanted a tank spec for evoker so people can have the option to tank as well.

Let me know what you guys think.

just remove dps spec n add tank spec instead for evoker.

I mean… druids do the same thing? shamans are the best dps healer in M+, before it was venth Hpally, so whats going to be different with the dragon class lol?
Just have to see how strong their range dps is while healing

I’ll go ahead and say 95% of the people rolling evoker at the start will NOT be healing and the ones that do will drop off quick, that class will mainly be used for ranged DPS and off heals. Good healers will STILL be in massive demand regardless of what spec as long as one they are playing is in the current meta.

My main problem is not which healer is performing the best, but the fact that Evoker itself has only the option of being a healer OR dps. It’s to be expected that everyone is going to reroll to the hero class just because it’s new, and the problem is that it will dilute the healer demand even further because every group is gonna spend 1 hr in queue for a tank now.

There will always be more dps than either healer or tank because more people like to play dps.

There will never be any iteration of any MMO where there is more healers than DPS.

You can’t force people to play healer.

I bet my own butt that 75% of them will be DPS.

Healing requires responsibility.

at least the DK’s will probably return to the dps state on Blood spec like in WotLK.

Most people don’t want to heal. This won’t be a problem.

There will be people that reroll Evoker, there will be people that try it and then go back to their mains.

Tanking is an issue because of issues outside of Evokers. A lot of it has to do with very few people wanting to tank randoms.

I think the Dracthyr/Evoker combo won’t appeal to as many people as DKs, DHs, or even monks did. Not because of the lack of tank spec but because it’s a very very specific theme.

No doubt a lot of people will play it to check it out but how many do you think will stick with it?

I’m not too worried but I also don’t strictly play one spec. For my monk in particular I enjoy all three and I enjoy all the Druid specs too.

May take the opportunity to raid as a tank for once, myself.

I’m afraid for tanks, when they added DH with tank and melee it became so overcrowded that it was hard to find a healer to group with. Some day we will recover.

I’m sure there will be plenty of groups that will need healing, all the new dragons will think that standing in the fire gives them a buff or something.

Dks didnt ruin all tanks or dps
Monks didnt destroy all other tank dps healers (still lower of the classes played)
DH didnt replace a mass amount…

It will be no different.
Id say due to the constraints and tmog limits of the dragon form it will not be that popular. Even so this panic is unwarranted. XD calm down
