Same here - came back and the mounds were there and interactable.
Had to remove one of the buffs (as I had two scarabs) before I could get them to find the truffles.
Worked for me when it popped as a wQ about 30 mins or so go. Finally could interact/see piles. Got loremaster then did it again as a WQ
I just did the quest while in the area. Was almost confused that it was working.
Went back late tonight and the mounds were visible and clickable. Guess one of the programmers came in today on the weekend and fixed it, which is pretty nice if true.

Blizz will take the W for fixing something, and when the WQ goes away itâll be broken again. 
Was able to do it around 6:30 a:m this morning. Hopefully everyone else gets theirs done. Finally got the last Sojourner my husband and I needed for our Loremaster of Kaz.
As of 10am Mountain time right now I am able to see the Dirt Piles - Doing it now <3

OMG it works! I didnât even have to change anything, I picked my beetle days ago and just flew over and it works.
I know, getting excited over a quest working as intended, thatâs modern WOW for you I guess.
