Scarab Lord HC

So question, gates are going to be pre opened for this raid? So no chance of a HC Scarab lord?

Just a hunch.

OR due to the finite life that is a HC toon, gong ring-able for server life? As kind of just a content boost?

Just throwing this out there.

Nope, not a chance. Servers are launched in the last phase with everything already opened.

I would imagine the whole quest is still doable and it would work just like regular, minus the gates and war effort. First person to hit the gong triggers the limited time window to also finish it. Unless they confirmed it somewhere that it’s not doable.

Hardcore realms will have all the original WoW Content phases unlocked and available right at launch.

from the Rules of Engagement.

Yea but what does that mean for a limited time event?

Server starts with the gates unlocked? So zero chance of limited time content ever being achieved as a HC.

Or

The 24h a day streamers being the only ones to achieve a HC Scarab lord because they will be lvl 60 and doing raids literally 4-5 days in.

Or

Make ringing the gong a limited like 5 min war (I know sounds stupid but hear me out) by the time your able to ring the gong as a HC it’s going to already be an achievement. So why not let this long quest chain be a snapshot of content that if you can achieve this feat why not have access to scarab lords at that point. It’s HC what happens when you die, bye bye to the only scarab lord on the server because one person rushed it.

Idk what you think?

First one for sure. ZERO possibility of anything at all. And it is not something I think, it is what the Blizz team says:

Hardcore realms will have all the original WoW Content phases unlocked and available right at launch.

One of the things we love about the Hardcore mode of play is that endgame is not the focus, and most of the gameplay revolves around the journey, not the destination. This also makes Hardcore gameplay “evergreen,” meaning that it’s always a good time to pop in and experience it, regardless of what else is happening in other versions of World of Warcraft.

When considering whether to do progressive phase unlocks on these hardcore realms or not, one of the things that concerned the WoW Classic Team was what psychological impact that following the 2019 Classic or Season of Mastery version of progressive content unlocks might have on players. We see players often ask, “Is it too late to start playing?” shortly after a new version of WoW Classic or content phase is released. While the answer is always “no”, there is still undeniable social pressure to “keep up” with the current content phase, even if the content being released is beyond your level of progression.

By removing content unlocks from the equation and having everything open and available from the start, it removes that pressure for the average player to hurry up and hit max level for the next unlock, especially when most content phase unlocks revolve entirely around endgame content. We are highly sensitive to this in a world where leveling itself is a huge challenge, and players may want to enjoy that journey at their own pace.

Try reading the Rules of engagement before speculating any further:

would be funny to watch all the people die trying to get the book in the other faction city

Why is everyone posting here like they know for sure because of the blog post, when there was an interview with Aprikat and the devs where they literally said they were working on getting the scarab lord chain working

The quest chain is used for a lot of other things, among those the best in-game recipe

how are you gonna do Scarab Lord with no trading tho?
