Scaling of Engineering Bombs

, or a “Schedule of Marked Improvement”
The BFA Engineering Bombs F.R.I.E.D.s state that they do 12k dmg. This was a decent amount of damage with the launch of BFA for characters gearing in greens. Acceptable.
But as the expansion has moved on, these bombs have held their value little better than a Venezuelan dollar, which is to say not at all. Both characters and creatures have well over 250k health on bad days. Engineers are experts in their field of tinkering or at least making an explosive mess of a situation, but when asked to throw 50g or 100g at a problem everyone turns to alchemists to provide a much better solution that scales with the gear and accomodates the gameplay.

Even with patch 8.2.5 which introduced Mechagnomish technology, engineers didn’t recieve an upgrade to their knowledge. Instead they were leaning on PASCAL to provide a bomb that provides twice as much firepower for twice as much disappointment. I’m sure there’s usage data behind how many creatures were harmed by Scrap Grenades, versus how many people simply tossed them to their Mechagnomish vendor sanitation engineer for 1 copper.

If each patch provided engineers with an updated bomb that is a tier higher than the last, whether it required new materials or not, it’d help to support some kind of consumable market for engineering. F.R.I.E.D. Mk2’s and Mk3 would be very welcome for most.
Barring that, can bombs gain primary stat scaling in some cases or at least gain at least versatility scaling.
