Scaling of what exactly?
This is how it works through the entire game.
lvl 70s with ilvl 500+ are essentially twinks atm so its no wonder they crush everything.
Just for an example a lvl 10 twink destroys a lvl 20 twink in damage because of scalling.
my lvl 20 priest demolishes any non mythic geared lvl 70 during holiday events in damage.
The scaling for content that accepts a wide range of lvls has been crazy for a long time most players just dont notice it since they only really play at max lvl. In a month or two from now ppl will once again stop noticing.
It is a horrible mistake. Itās part of the reason Final Fantasy 8 was such a black sheep. Even then, level scaling in that game was meant to be a subversion of the usual formula, and a beginnerās trap. The way you compensated for it was much better too.
In WoWās case, gaining a level means you need to upgrade every damn slot by 5 ilvls just to restore the status quo. You absolutely do not replace your entire set in a single level, hence why people reach the cap with sub-par gear and itās an uphill battle to get started.
I guess this is the first time some people realize this but it has been like this for a very long time. It didnāt use to be this bad but I think it really started in BfA, might have been like it in legion as well. I canāt remember. The whole scaling thing is in reverse, you should always start weak and become stronger I donāt understand how blizzard can fail so hard at this. Iām talking about the start of an expansion while leveling.
There is no sense of power gain at all while you level, you get weaker and weaker. Makes the game(leveling) feel so bad and Iāve made comments on this in past expansions yet it keeps on happening.
In many of these dungeons at level 70-72~ you can do some insane pulls. Now at 76-77 I have to be a lot more careful. Iām leveling a second druid for the fun of it but I really wish they would fix the problem and make you feel stronger as you level instead of weaker, thatās all.
