For what it’s worth op I agree with some of the sentiment.
Did a m0 world tour today to try to learn fights but I only get one swing at them per week?
So if I want repetition to learn the fights I have to commit to bricking 2s with some friends who understand that we are there to brick 2s to learn the fights because bricking low keys in pugs is a recipe for hostility.
If you didn’t have a full group of friends idk how TF anyone would learn the ropes and get into this game anymore without being chased off.
Agreed. It is a big jump but I remember old seasons you could get to 10s or 15s and people would still have zero clue what bosses did because they pushed on fort weeks and lusted through any mechanics with big dps.
The nerfs from 10% helped immensely but heroics don’t teach tanks and healers that they need to be cycling cooldowns from the first pull.
I was in a lot of painful m0’s with tanks that didn’t cooldown off the start and doing big pulls they were doing in heroics. It seems to be getting better now
The scaling should’ve been from m1 onwards. M0 need to live as a tier more suited to make people learn the mechanics. Right now it’s impossible to do so because unless the healer grossly overgears the content, people will be 2-3 shot by missing mechanics.
We shouldn’t need to watch 15+min of videos just to learn the dynamics of the fights.
Did you do it with randoms without a good grasp of the M+ mechanics? Because otherwise it’s a major pain.
i legit had a healer have a meltdown in a random normal because we have never seen the ship fight before. I mean swearing up and down name calling ect. yes we reported them but blizzard seems to only give these people a smack on the wrist
What I’ve learned from the keystone changes is that the overwhelming majority of players like a lot of sort of, uh, fluff so they don’t get geared too quickly or reach their power cap because then they lose interest as it’s actually progging instead of just prepping for prog
M0’s are a cakewalk if people have any sort of idea of what they’re doing. If they’re going in blind, that’s fine too, hopefully they learn mechanics quickly, that’s part of the point imo.
Yeah, actually. Gear is a means to an end and while it’s nice to have I don’t think it’s worth playing 50-100 hours just to get okay gear you’re not gonna use for anything if you don’t enjoy the process of getting it.
The scaling we have for m0 is a good thing. It requires you to learn what is dangerous and needs to be interrupted. It makes you learn the mechanics of fights. It’s going to be very rough if you go into m0 with heroic dungeon mentality. If you do these things properly, you will be able to finish the m0 dungeons and you are now a better player for it and ready to tackle +2.
Did two M0’s at 632, rest of the party was around 623 (Delve-capped for the most part). The runs took forever even with the rest of the party roughly 90% of my damage (Minus the healers and tank).
Some insta-gib mechanics. A lot of “stay out of melee” mechanics. Not a fan so far of the M0 ilvl requirements or new dungeon mechanics.
