I realize a lot of stuff is still buggy, and proper scaling is an issue in certain areas. But I don’t feel as strong in old content raids as I did before. I solo mount raid runs every week, and I just did them for the first time since squish. My geared hunter was taking damage in Ulduar… Nothing significant, but still. Was this meant to happen? I was under the impression it was supposed to be scaled and feel the same running old content?
It feels like they think if they can make you feel really bad about the game now, you’ll be deliriously happy after you slog through end content and get 1 piece of gear a week.
Supposed to
I wouldn’t put it past them to explain away the difference in power etc. But to be honest, I do remember someone there saying that we wouldn’t feel that much different and that just the numbers would get smaller but that power wise we should feel more or less the same. A little weaker from losing corruptions BUT I didn’t have much of them and I feel MUCH weaker.
So this is downright a ‘tuning’/balance issue that I hope they correct.
I knew it wouldn’t be perfect after squish BUT this is kinda ridiculous to be honest.
Ion told us the only difference we would notice was the loss of corruption. I was immediately suspicious.
WatcherDev is definitely sus.
Maybe he is the imposter.
IMO Scaling has no place in an MMO. You never get the feeling of power. All it does is make it easier on developers and the player be damned.
Yeah the scaling is SEVERELY broken in dungeons, you’re either carrying or being carried.
I made a post about my experience a few days ago, pretty much if you got one party member up in the 40’s anyone below that are going to die a ton, even to trash mobs.
I noticed it in legion and classic dungeons as I was on my level 45-50 prot pally.
Going to level a healing priest to see what it’s like from 10-50.
They just pushed the ‘power’ to your gear in the .1 .2 .3 .3.5 patches. Before level squish my mains were soloing world raid bosses and bfa dungeons.
This elf I’m posting on gets banged up by trash, but I’m not sure I set my talents back correctly and I’m rusty on warrior. And haven’t finished gearing this one. (I do put pants on when fighting, but xmog is better without them.)
This team at wow atm is very sloppy it’s been 7 1/2 years since i have actually seen a polished blizzard product.
