Scaling issue leveling in WoD

Leveling my second toon in 3 days to take advantage of the stacking XP buffs going on. Both toons leveling on alliance through Warlords, mostly through Shadowmoon Valley, with some questing in Gorgrond and Talador.

First toon leveled just fine with few problems but on this second toon, after she hit 41, quests, mobs, and treasures all seemed to be giving less XP then they should have. When she hit 45, I noticed all mobs in all 3 WoD zones I checked were suddenly level 40 and gray and dying instantly in one hit and not giving XP when killed. Oddly enough, another player had mentioned the same problem in Shadowmoon Valley general chat the day before so I’m not the only person this is happening to.

Again, this definitely did not happen on the first toon I had finished the day before. Toons were both Dark Iron Dwarves on the same account and server and both were using Draughts of Ten Lands and frequently returning to Stormwind to refresh Darkmoon Faire buff. First toon was a warrior, second a shaman. They didn’t follow the exact same quest path and chose different garrison outposts but otherwise were pretty much the same. So I guess I’ll try to choose a different timeline and see if the scaling starts working again so she can finish off.

make sure chromie time is active on the 2nd toon

I do some speed leveling for fun and noticed that once or twice on recent toons, it has popped me out of Chomie time or acted like I was not in it even if I was. I was in Legion one time and WoD the other. I assumed I had accidentally hit something the first time, but this makes me think it bugs out when you hit a certain level point. It is inconsistent and I didn’t notice right away the second time, so I am unsure exactly other than it was around 40.

Going back and talking to Chromie to go back to normal time and back into Chromie time fixed it for me. Killed my leveling time though:P

Yeah switching to another timeline fixed the issue for the shaman but I definitely never hit anything, never clicked off any buffs, never went anywhere near Chromie’s location in Stormwind, and never went anywhere else in the game with her, just a continuous loop of quest in WoD, hearth to Stormwind, fly to Darkmoon Faire, get XP buff, hearth to garrison, continue questing, repeat. I trained riding/flying in Stormwind as well but I did that on both toons so who knows.
