Ok so im leveling up through TW dungeons in BFA since it has been the weekly, I hit around level 19 or so and anything that does ticking damage, like from goop on ground isn’t right. I should have time to step out after 1 tick but no, it one shots me instead , 3000 + damage and my little warlock has about 2200 or so health. What is going on ?
I noticed it in Kings Row, (gold and poison )
Atal’ Dazzar (poison goop)
Went back to chromie time until I get more levels to go back to tw and see if it gets better but you clearly have an issue here for those 19-24 at least.
Low levels die and the rest of group also dies or its a long boss fight. I was going to level a new alt in TW but it’s not even worth playing.
In the two groups that I went into I was the only one that sub level 70, and I was the only one dying to the stuff on the floor instantly as soon as it appeared. No time for my addon G.T.F.O to trigger where I could move just instant dead. The recap said 3000 tick damage and my health pool was only 2200 at the time.
From my experience and observing other players of middling levels, there seems to be some mighty strong variance dependent on class and spec. Some combinations seem nigh immortal at low levels (below 22 or so), then seem to radically shift to being made of flash paper (dying from the slightest attack).
Not that being level 80 is much better. This character is geared in almost ilvl 660 and went into BFA TW dungeons loaded up with algari mana oil, gear enchantment, raid flask and food buff and experienced a full party wipe in Kings’ Rest. Other characters on this account (all level 80s in ilvl 645 gear) died twice in Shrine of the Storm (both were “terrain kills” from suffering knock-back while stun-locked that yeeted them off the edge of terrain), once more in Waycrest Manor, and once more in Freehold (from becoming stuck in the terrain and immobilized while mobs rekt him as the rest of the party surged ahead to the last boss).
I am no mythic raider, but I am also not an incompetent player. I know my class, I know how to mitigate, misdirect, and when to run for my life and leave my pets to eat the damage, but between hunter pets’ threat being worthless and everything inside TW dungeons being made into a damage sponge, I have a hard time feeling I am making any meaningful contribution.
Although scaling in WoW has always been what I will politely refer to as “hot garbage”, it seems to be much, much worse in recent patches. Now, with the bloated health pools for timewalking enemies and bosses that came along with 11.1.7, some class and spec combinations are frankly “unplayable” unless you get some manner of G.O.A.T. tank that tears through everything and you do your best to just keep up.
I am all for a challenge, but I am also all for fairness. We are getting plenty of the first, but scarce little of the second.

Seems to be fine so far in Panda time walking , never died once in Shadow-Pan Monastery. I think it was just BFA , I think it might be fairly new to the timewalking cluster and will require adjustments.

Agreed, BFA was th worst of the lot so far. Pandaria, so far at least, seems tuned rightly, but no path found is a recurrent issue for pet classes. So, yeah, BFA being new is probably prone to be terribly imbalanced. I wonder why they even have a PTR…
