Saying twitch emotes in real life?

Cringe post i know but does anyone else say emotes in RL? i sometimes say monkaS or LUL but thats about it. I said monkaS one time at work and one guy chuckled. pretty sure hes an asmongold sub. :smirk:

Lul isn’t a twitch emote.

Anything else is just painful to see or hear. The next gen of people growing up are an odd bunch.

I’d rather be drug out onto the street and decapitated by a rusty butter knife than ever be caught saying any sort of twitch emote irl.

actually LUL is a twitch emote. i should know. i use it all the time. that and pepelaugh

I yell that’s the move all the time. Then I ask my roommates if anybody in this living room is a member of the move right now, let me know.

He means people having been saying that long before twitch existed, twitch just added a picture for the common slang.

My exact reaction seeing you in LFG talking about having a 1500 io on your “main account” when all you do on here is complain that your io wasn’t high enough for anything.

:grimacing::grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

ok now that’s just being a “try hard”. did i use that term correctly, boys. try hard right? also I LULd in RL at this.

honestly
i don’t even like see it online, it is the biggest failure in communication i ever seen someone come up with.

meh. i like using emotes because 1.) it helps me fit in. 2.) it makes me feel cool thats why sometimes i say them in real life too. 3.) some of the emotes express exactly what im feeling. Anyone else? Was that too deep?

this works because “the move” is passably hip enough lingo and you’ll look like a dork but it’s ok, and funny, because you’re THEIR dork

Ya when I’ve heard people say this stuff irl it usually triggers me just because it sounds super stupid to hear those kinds of things outside of the context they belong in

But I also apply this to lots of things, basically to me it just sounds like saying inside jokes that you have with a friend
 when that friend isn’t around.

I guess if you’re saying it like around friends that do get it it’s not the worst although even just verbally saying twitch emotes always sounded silly to me since I mean it’s just like saying “heart emoji” outloud.

“thinking emoji” anyone?

thinking language is rigid and there’s a wrong way to use any facet of it to express a consistently clear meaning LuL

dialect much 4Head

idk about emotes but i say yoink, oof, and yikes about 100 times a day
